I use this once a week when I wash my hair

PUREOLOGY HYDRATE SHAMPOO is my all time favorite shampoo. I used to feel like even with clean hair my hair still looked stringy and thin. As soon as I started using this, I saw an improvement in my hair. It goes longer between washes, it has body, it’s shinier, and it’s healthier.

It’s crazy expensive, but it’s a concentrated shampoo so a little goes a long a way and a large bottle honestly lasts me a year.

Dry shampoo

I use this every day. Sometimes twice a day before bed and then in the morning. I spray, let it soak in, and then brush through my hair.

I’ve been using SUAVE DRY SHAMPOO for about 4 years, and swear by it. But I’ve also started using DOVE DRY SHAMPOO in the last year and really love it too. Super affordable, smells great, and works amazingly well.

I use this once a week when I wash my hair.

I’ve tried a lot of really good conditioners in my time, but honesty I don’t use a ton of conditioner on my hair. Just a little on the ends to keep them smooth. I like to get a giant bottle with a pump of TreSemme CONDITIONER and use it for the ends of my hair and also to shave my legs. Two-in-one, and it lasts for months.

De-tangler Spray

I use this once a week on wet hair before brushing through it.

I started using this It’s A 10 DE-TANGLER SPRAY about six months ago and I’m obsessed with it. It works kind of as a conditioner and smoothing spray, and I spray it in wet hair before brushing. It helps with flyaways and shine and makes it super easy to brush through your hair.

Also, a little goes a long way so it lasts for a very long time!

Heat Protectant

I use this once a week on damp, brushed hair before blow drying it.

I searched for a long time for a good heat protectant, since I curl my hair almost every day and use my REVLON ROUND BRUSH HAIR DRYER every week. I found THIS ONE from Navy Hair Care and I love that it’s a mousse that protects from frizz and also protects from heat.

It’s 30% off with code MERRICK too!

Texture Spray

I use this at least 2-3 times per week. It is best for me on clean hair to give it some extra volume.

I have a lot of hair, but it’s very fine, so it struggles to hold volume and hold curls. Especially when it’s clean and particularly slippery.

This TEXTURE SPRAY from Navy Hair Care doesn’t make your hair stiff or sticky, it just gives it some body so it holds curl better (on clean and dirty hair), and gives my roots some volume.

Anti-Frizz Finishing Spray

I use this every day after curling my hair.

I don’t like to use hairspray because I feel like it weighs down my hair. Instead, to tame flyaways and to help my hair look super shiny and smooth, I love Navy Hair Care’s STYLE NAVIGATOR SPRAY. It can also be used as a prep spray to protect from heat and smooth frizz, but I love it best as a finishing spray after my hair is curled. It smooths everything, and gives it a shine that rivals a Disney princess. Seriously, I love this stuff.

This spray is 30% off with code MERRICK

Hair brushes

I use this several times a day to brush my hair.

There’s only one HAIR BRUSH I’ll use anymore, and that is a Wet Brush. These are only $8, and they’re designed to brush through wet hair without ripping and damaging it. They’re also amazing for little kids with sensitive scalps and easily tangled hair because they don’t pull on your hair the same way a normal brush does.

I even bought a MINI TRAVEL WET BRUSH to take with me when I travel.

Trust me, you all need one.

Curling Iron

I use this every single day to curl or touch up my curls.

I swear by a 1″ inch curling iron. It is the best way to help your curls last a long time, and even with a smaller barrel you can create lots of different curls. I have a tutorial on how I curl my hair RIGHT HERE!

I have THIS CURLING IRON that’s under $10, and it’s worked perfectly for me for about 1 1/2 years.

Revlon One-Step Hair Dryer/Round Brush

I use this once a week after washing my hair.

Guys, this REVLON ONE-STEP TOOL has literally changed my life. I’m obsessed with it. I use to never blow dry my hair, and I felt like my hair was way healthier because of it. But since I air dried it, it would need to be straightened with a flat iron…which was still tons of heat.

Now I never flat iron, I just use this and it creates silky smooth, dry hair in 15 minutes. I have a whole tutorial on how to use it RIGHT HERE.

It’s on sale right now right here!

Hair Ties

I use these everyday for exercising, ponytails in my hair, and sleeping.

I have a lot of hair and need a good hair tie that keeps my ponytails high and tight, and keeps my top knots in place when I run. THESE L. ERIKSON PONYTAIL HOLDERS are the absolute best.

I even do a loose super high ponytail (with the ponytail holder wrapped around twice) for bed and they don’t leave any creases!

I talk more about them in THIS POST.

Cotton Hair Towel

I use this once a week when I wash my hair.

This HAIR REPEAR TOWEL is specifically for hair – not for your body too! It is made out a soft stretchy cotton knit, and it won’t stretch, damage, or break your hair. I’ve been using it for a year and it definitely makes a difference in the health of your hair!

Grrat info thank you! my only question is the hair tutorial that you gave uses of wAnd, which is what I use. But you said in the post that you use a curling iron. Do you have a video for that?
