The internet has been blowing up about the Revlon One-Step Volumizer and Hair Dryer, so I had to buy one and try it out. Here’s my honest review of this round brush hair dryer.

Revlon Two-in-One Hair Dryer
About two or three years ago I stopped blow drying my hair and started exclusively air drying it. It made such a big difference in my hair health, and my hair is honestly the healthiest and longest it’s ever been. I was nervous to try the Revlon one step hair dryer because I didn’t want to reverse the progress I’d made on my hair.
Here’s the reason I changed my mind about using a round brush hair dyer.
When I air dry my hair, it’s very naturally wavy so I still have to flat iron it to get it straight. THEN I curl it with a curling iron.
My flat iron is very hot, so my hair is still getting exposure to a lot of heat, even without blow drying.
With the Revlon One Step, I’m able to skip the straightening step because it gives me a perfect straight blow out every time. No flat ironing needed!
Because the heat isn’t several hundred degrees, I think it’s actually doing less damage to my hair than the flat iron.
These are a few other reasons why I’m loving the Revlon One Step Volumizer and Hair Dryer
This round brush hair dryer tool blow dries my hair really fast.
When I get out of the shower, I put my hair in a towel (I use THIS ANTI-FRIZZ COTTON ONE) and leave it in for about 20 minutes. This takes away all the dripping wetness and leaves it just damp.
I section off my hair in layers, starting with a layer at the base of my neck, and use the Revlon tool here until it’s completely dry.
Then I pull down another layer and dry that. I continue this until I’ve done my entire head.
The entire process with this tool takes me around 10-12 minutes!!
The Revlon One Step blow dries, volumizes, and straightens in one step
When I used a hair dryer to blow dry my hair, my hair would turn into a crazy, frizzy afro, and then I had to straighten it with a flat iron tool. But typically the straightening would kill a lot of my volume and I’d have to use products to build that volume back up.
I love that the Revlon One Step gives me volume, and straightens my hair, and make it dry, all at once. GAME CHANGER.
This one step tool is so affordable!
I’ve seen a lot of other round brush hair dryers and other similar tools to this on the market and they’re pricey! This tool is under $60!
There’s a very quick learning curve
When I first posted about this tool on instagram, so many people messaged me saying they didn’t think they were coordinated enough to use it.
Trust me, it’s nothing like blow drying and using a round brush simultaneously. I’ve tried that so many times and it’s HARD.
There’s no coordination needed — if you can use a brush, you can use this.
Also, the first time I used it, I found that I needed to touch up the ends because they weren’t quite smoothed enough for me. But my second time using them, I discovered if I just rolled the ends of my hair higher in the brush, pulled through them, and repeated this a couple of times, it smoothed them nicely and gave me a nice slight curve on the ends of my hair.
The cord on the end of the Revlon One Step swivels so it doesn’t get tangled.
Enough said — bless the person who designed this round brush hair dryer.
This tool has three settings so there are options for everyone.
The Revlon One Step has three settings — high, low, and cool.
I use it on high in order to get my 10 minute blow out, but if you have finer hair you can use the lower setting. However, I didn’t find that the high setting was too hot at all.
And you can also use the cool setting (which is great in the summertime).
Overall review of the Revlon One-Step Volumizer and Hair Dryer Tool
It’s by far the best hair tool I’ve used in years, and it’s worth every single penny.
It makes my hair silky smooth, it’s easy and quick to use, and it’s so affordable.
If you’ve been on the fence, try it. I promise you that you’ll love it too!
I made a quick little video showing you how I use it — you can watch it HERE on YouTube, or below!
