How I Use Wunderbrow Brow Gel

I’ve been using Wunderbrow for years to fill in my sparse eyebrows, and have received tons of questions about it over that time. Here is a tutorial on exactly how I fill in my eyebrows. 

Have you heard of Wunderbrow? It has been my go-to eyebrow product for years and years. I bought it for the first time in 2018 when we were headed to Hawaii. I had filled my brows in with powder up til that point, but I knew going in the water would wash that all away. So I wanted something waterproof that would help them look natural and stay in place while were were swimming and at the beach.

I’ve had lots of requests for a tutorial ever since, so I filmed a quick one to share exactly how to use Wunderbrow and where it fits in my makeup routine.

Where to Buy Wunderbrow

I buy mine on Amazon RIGHT HERE, and I have it on a subscription to send me a new tube every 3 months. One tube usually lasts me that long. I use the color Brunette, but it’s available in 5 different colors, both lighter and darker.

How I apply Wunderbrow eyebrow gel

Start with a clean, dry face. If you apply with wet moisturizer or BB cream or foundation on, it doesn’t stick as well and can come off more easily during the day.

The applicator has a small brush, so I use that to do small strokes to fill in the brow shape. When you pull the applicator out of the tube, wipe off as much of the product as you can — you don’t want to apply with a big glob of product on the brush.

It also comes with a spoolie and angle brush tool, and while the gel is wet, I use the spoolie to brush my brows up. This helps create a more natural look and gels my real eyebrow hairs into place.

There’s definitely a learning curve with this product, but just be patient and do tiny strokes, then brush with the spoolie, then more tiny strokes, then brush with the spoolie until the brow is the shape and size you want. I also use the angle brush to wipe off any excess product that goes where I don’t want it to go. I never use the brush to apply the product.

This product is also buildable — if you want it darker in some spots, wait a minute for the gel to dry a bit and then apply a second coat, then re-brush with the spoolie.

Will I ever get my eyebrows microbladed or tattooed?

I get this question a lot when I share this product, and honestly I’ve considered it. But currently I don’t have any plans to do permanent makeup for my eyebrows. I like the freedom to adjust my brows over time, and applying this product everyday takes about a minute, so it’s not a big deal for me at this point! Maybe I’ll change my mind in the future.
