You guys know I wear a lot of basics! But basics don’t have to be boring. I’m sharing three basic outfits today and showing you how to put them together step-by-step with accessories so you can see the process!

These three basic outfits have accessories that make them feel finished
The biggest complaint I hear about fashion in general is that it’s not realistic for real life, or especially for summer. An outfit with a bag and sunglasses and a jacket are cute, but you’re not carrying those around all the time, and definitely not wearing any layers in the summer.
So let’s check out these three basic outfits with just a few little additions to make them feel cute but still very wearable for day to day.
1. How to accessories a basic white tee and jeans
First up, we have a WHITE TEE and JEANS. That’s about as basic as it gets! With a little tuck, some sleek WHITE SNEAKERS, a chic HEADBAND and some EARRINGS, you have a not-so-basic outfit!
2. Simple accessories for a gray tee and pants
These OLIVE PANTS are some of my casual pants, but you could definitely swap them for a pair of JOGGERS. I paired them with a really simple GRAY TEE. Super basic.
All the accessories we needed were some COOL SNEAKERS, a few LAYERED NECKLACES, and a cute BASEBALL CAP.
3. A graphic tee and mom jeans can look really cute with some easy accessories
This GRAPHIC TEE is super oversized, and a pair of MOM JEANS is looser too. So this outfit needs some help to make it look pulled together with these two basic pieces.
First, knot the tee at your waist to give your body some shape and your waist some definition. We can add some sleek sandals (nothing chunky, since everything else is oversized), a cute top knot in your hair, and a few LAYERED NECKLACES to finish the look.
When are these basic outfits appropriate?

- staying at home
- running errands
- a playdate at the park
- weekends
- lunch date with friends
- casual date with your husband
