If you’re heading to The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs, you’re probably wondering the same thing I was: what do you actually wear there?
The answer is a little bit of everything.
During our stay, I wore everything from easy shorts and sneakers for outdoor activities to breezy dresses for brunch and dinner. I also packed a few layers because Colorado weather can change quickly, especially when you’re spending time outside.
The Broadmoor is definitely a place where you can dress up a little, but I found that most of my outfits were still comfortable and easy to wear. So if you’re planning a trip, here’s everything I wore during our stay to give you some ideas for your own packing list.
WHAT I WORE AT THE BROADMOOR
On the Plane
For the plane, I went with wide-leg pants, a fitted white tank, sneakers, and a lightweight sweater worn over my shoulders.
This is probably my favorite kind of travel outfit because it’s comfortable without looking like pajamas. The wide-leg pants give you plenty of room to actually be comfortable on the plane, while the fitted tank and sweater keep the outfit looking pulled together.

Pool Day
For a pool day, I kept things really simple with a breezy gingham mini dress, flat sandals, sunglasses, and a woven tote.
A lightweight dress like this is perfect for throwing on over a swimsuit, and the straw accessories make it feel very resort-y without trying too hard.

Outdoor Activity
For our outdoor activities, I went with a more athletic look that still felt like me: navy shorts, a fitted tank, sneakers, sunglasses, and a lightweight layer tied around my waist.
This was one of those outfits that worked really well for walking and being outside, but still looked put together enough that I didn’t feel like I was wearing a full workout outfit.

Casual Dinner
For a casual dinner, I wore a simple white tank with a colorful striped midi skirt, flat sandals, and a woven crossbody bag.

Dinner at the Clubhouse
For dinner at the clubhouse, I wore a green striped midi dress with flat sandals and a lightweight blue sweater draped over my shoulders.
This was such an easy resort outfit. The dress feels polished enough for dinner, but the sweater and flat sandals keep it from feeling overly dressed.

Mountain Train Ride

The Broadmoor is one of those places where you can absolutely have fun with your outfits, but you don’t need to pack an entirely new wardrobe.
I packed pieces that could be mixed and matched, then changed the look with shoes, jewelry, bags, and lightweight layers. Dresses made getting ready for dinner incredibly easy, while simple tanks, skirts, and comfortable pants gave me plenty of options for daytime.
