dress: banana republic outlet (similar, similar) // shoes: target (similar) // bracelets: c/o the shine project // clutch: jessica simpson via marshalls

I was recently introduced to an awesome organization called The Shine Project. Have you heard of it? It’s an amazing non-profit organization that works improve the lives of at-risk American teens. A year ago, The Shine Project started a business called Threads, which is a line of gorgeous handmade jewelry made by these teens to help raise money for their education and future. Breaking the cycle, which is one of the goals of this business, is such a fascinating subject to me. I am beyond impressed by those who can pull themselves out of negative situations and change their life for good.

I’m thrilled to be joining The Shine Project and Threads in celebrating their one-year anniversary! Head over to their website to see the gorgeous jewelry, learn more about their amazing mission, and join me in WEARING CHANGE.

  9. I ADORE this color–in general, and especially on you! Random note, and maybe a little creepy, but the biggest thing keeping me from running out and chopping off my hair to refresh my cut is the thought of how pretty your hair is all the time and how I want to be able to do that. It's a battle every day. Haha

I'm recently obsessed with your blog! I love your style and what a great organization to feature. Totally random question, what kind of lens do you use to take your photos? You get such a great blurred background, but a sharp focus on the subject. This is something I struggle with! I'd love any advice. Thanks!!
