Long denim shorts are back, and I promise they can look really good. Here are the two pairs I found that actually work, plus a few ways I’ve been styling them.
Nobody asked, but I went on a full mission to find long denim shorts that didn’t look frumpy or dated. And I actually found two pairs worth talking about.
I know this silhouette scares people. The bermuda length has a bad reputation, and honestly, not all of them are created equal. But when you find the right cut, they’re one of the easiest things to throw on in the summer.

Outfit 1: White T-Shirt + Long Denim Shorts A fitted white tank tucked into mid-rise long denim shorts. Simple, clean, and the proportions just work. The fitted top balances out the looser leg so you don’t end up swimming in fabric.
Why it works: A basic outfit updated with necklaces just makes it work!

Outfit 2: Striped Tee + Sneakers A blue and white striped tee with the long denim shorts and FLATS. Casual but put-together. The elevated flats keep it from getting too casual and the stripes add just enough pattern.
