The last few days have been super hot. So hot that multiple times I’ve considered unpacking all my packed up summer clothes since I could hardly stand to look at my sweaters and scarves. But yesterday I woke up, looked out the window, and saw the palm trees on our street swaying in the breeze. Breeze! Good enough for me! So even though I’m sure the beaches were still crowded with the gorgeous weather, I pulled out a jacket and floppy hat because I’m taking advantage of any cool weather I can get; it’s January, after all…80 degrees just seems wrong.

I totally cannot relate to the warm weather right now since it's freezing in NY but I do love this look – the jacket gives it some edge and you look too cute in hats!

This heat wave is crazy! It seems to happen every January, though. And I'm shocked by it every time!
I went through the shock from St. Louis back to here. I was starting to overheat in my boots, layers, and fleece as I waited outside to get picked up from the airport!

It was almost 90 in Long Beach the other day. Quite a difference between Colorado where we spent Sunday night. I remember it being super hot last January too though. Makes me sad since I'm happiest with my arms covered!
