Wondering what shoes to wear with bermuda, or longer shorts? Here are some great options with examples!
Let’s talk about what shoes to wear with bermuda shorts. These longer-style shorts can sometimes feel frumpy, and the right shoe is key to making your outfit flow. I’ll show you different shoe options and tips to help you create a cuter bermuda shorts outfit.
What Shoes to Wear With Bermuda Shorts
Try your Bermuda shorts with a pair of low cut, sleek sneakers. I think high top sneakers are very cute in some outfits, but with a long pair of Bermuda shorts, a pair of high top sneakers can create a blocky-looking leg. Instead, choose a low cut sneaker in a sleek style. You can choose something in a fun color or design, or go for something classic and simple. Your choice!
Try a simple sandal. Big, clunky sandals are really popular right now. I think some can be really cute, but something heavy and clunky, especially with taller ankle straps, are too much with a longer length short. Instead, choose a lower profile sandal. You can choose something with a back strap if you need that, of course, but something more sleek and slim will be better with a pair of long shorts.
If you need a waterproof sandal, don’t choose a rubber flip flop. If you’ve been around for a while, you know I hate rubber flip flops for everyday (unless you’re going to the pool, of course). There are so many sandals that are much nicer than this, and these patent leather ones are my favorite if I need a waterproof sandal but want to look a little more polished.
If you want something supportive and comfy, don’t choose CROCS! I know CROCS are so trendy right now, and are super easy to slide on and go, AND are supportive, but I promise these REEF sandals are a way better option. They’re supportive, comfy, waterproof, and have a back strap so they stay on really nicely. They’re my go-to sandal for water parks or amusement parks.
I hope that’s helpful!
