It’s around this time of year that everyone starts taking family pictures in preparation for holiday cards. By the way, I love holiday cards and hope that people never stop sending them out (even though they probably will eventually because of the convenience and savings of doing them online)…but that’s a post for another day, I suppose.

Because I’m a crazy person, I start planning outfits for our family Christmas card photos loooong in advance. And thus, I’ve spent the last month or so hunting for the perfect dress for me to wear, and then everyone else’s outfits get planned around mine.

Through this hunt, I’ve found a couple new-to-me websites with some good choices. So I thought I’d share.

sailorette dress / gabrielle maxi // rest on your florals dress
komal dress // scenia dress // ruby dress
v-neck batwing sleeve dress // v-neck puff sleeve dress // floral lace scalloped hem dress

Between these three sites (and of course I looked at my normal stores as well), I found a lot of options, both casual and dressy. Some are more summery, but could instantly be “winterized” with some boots, tights, cardigans or scarves.

I ended up purchasing one from Tobi (and got 30% off when I signed up for free!), and am super happy with the dress. It’s great quality, exactly what the picture showed, and now I’m just hoping I can squeeze my post-partum body into it next month!

. . . . . . . . .
Don’t forget that today is the last day to enter the Shy Boutique giveaway!
Also, I’m loving the Sew and Tell entries that have been submitted so far! There’s still a week to submit yours, and I’d love to feature it — go here for more details and the submission rules.

Perfect timing for me 🙂 I have a photoshoot next weekend and have been trying to figure out what to wear. The Sheinside website looks really interesting. I wonder what the quality is like because I can't believe that lace scalloped dress is so cheap! Thanks for sharing!
