San turns eight months next week, and we’re moving this weekend, so we’ve been talking about transitioning him to his own room at night time.
He’s been in our room since he was born, and although I love having him close, he’s grown out of his bassinet and is now in a portable crib, so I think we’re all feeling ready to have our own space.
He already sleeps in his room for naps every day, so I think the transition for him will be easy, but even having already done this twice with my two older boys, I still feel stressed about having him out of our room…even though he’s just a few feet away down the hall.
I wrote about our Owlet baby monitor right after San was born, and how, during those few first weeks of stress with a new baby, the Owlet Monitor gave us peace of mind. It’s a little foot monitor that straps onto your baby’s foot and monitors their oxygen levels and heart rate, and is designed to alert you on your phone if their levels drop.
Now that we’re moving him to his own room, I’m grateful to have it again so it can keep an eye on my baby while he’s down the hall during the night. It’s easy to just strap on their foot and tuck into his sleep sack or footie pajamas, and it’s small and lightweight enough to not bother them while they sleep. And it comes with several sizes of socks so you can continue use it as your baby grows!
There’s enough stress that comes with parenting, so I’m grateful for amazing products like these that give us one less thing to worry about. You can learn more about the Owlet Monitors right here!
Kinda random but what is the sleep sack-type thing that he is wearing? Do you mind linking to it? Thanks 🙂
Yep, this is it: http://bit.ly/2gj5LcE. We LOVE it!
