As we head into spring around here (sorry all you people who will still be dealing with snow for the next four months) dresses become my go-to. Swing dresses are one of my favorite dress styles to wear because they’re so comfortable, and can easily be dressed up or dressed down. Throw a swing dress on with wedges and a statement necklace for date night (like I did here), or dress it down with a simple pair of leopard flats. I even styled one with a high pony, sandals, and my denim jacket tied around my waist that you can see here. The options are endless, and you look put-together no matter what!
And the best part is that they’re super easy to make. Find the Perfect Summer Swing Dress sewing tutorial right here!
I love this!! I’m looking for inspiration for work clothes for a casual office environment and I think this look would work well! I tried clicking on the link for the leopard flats but it doesn’t seem to be working.
Blue is def. your colour, you look gorgeous in this dress!

I like the style…but a little short. My 12 year old won’t wear skirts that short.
Love love love! I want to try and sew a dress like this! 🙂

I can’t access the link for the shoes. Help? Love the outfit!
Just updated the link — sorry about that!
I’ve been searching for something this nice blue color because of you 😉 I don’t own one piece of blue clothing! I can never find something I like so I just might make it myself. I made this swing dress in a nice chartreuse (purely coincidence that I had enough material the same color as your dress!) and I love that dress. Now if it will only warm up, but like you mentioned I have 4 more months of snow. boo.
this dress is absolutely perfect.
Love the dress paired with leopard!! Great look!
This blue is my FAV!! I would have never thought to pair with leopard, love it!
I have a dress like this and I love it! Too bad I won’t be able to wear it for four months without tights/leggings!

Excuse me as I wipe the tears from my keyboard! We’ll have snow for months still haha
Love that dress, and of course, the leopard flats! xo,D
I love the striped one! Where do you get your fabric from? This blue is beautiful too. Love it!
And do you always use the same type of knit, with a bit of lycra in it?
You’ll have to keep us updated about those shoes. I know they are suppose to br more comfortable than most ballet flats and are super cute…but that price tag!
How adorable is that dress? LOVE the bright blue color!
