button up: target (altered) // top: mikarose (gift from mom – shop) // jeans: american eagle (shop)
shoes: forever young shoes (gift from mom – old) // bracelets: target/gift from philip/sira and mara c/o

With the whole blogosphere buzzing about holiday attire, I thought I’d throw one more in the mix. I don’t have any fancy events to attend this year, but we are attending a few nice-casual parties, so wearing something festive but simple to those has been on my mind.

While my mom was staying with me after the baby was born, she picked this darling top for me, and I’m finding it perfect for a nice holiday dinner — the oxblood color is trendy and festive without screaming Christmas. Perfect. It could also easily be dressed up with a skirt and heels, or dressed down like I did here with a button up layering, patterned shoes, dark jeans, and a pony tail.

Here’s what I wore for Philip’s fancy Christmas party last year…good thing we don’t have another one of those cause there isn’t a chance in heck I’d fit into that dress right now 🙂

That shirt is so adorable! I love the color and how you paired it with the button down. Very subtly festive.

  8. Call me silly – but the first thing I noticed was the pop of color on your lips to compliment the outfit. I LOVE the oxblood shirt, but bringing out your lips with a similar color was brilliant.
