Unless you’ve been hiding under a rock the past few months, you know that leather is huge for fall. I’ve added several fabulous leather and faux leather pieces to my closet, including this dark burgundy vegan leather skirt. One of my favorite ways to wear my leather pieces is with items that create juxtaposition, whether it’s something very feminine, or very soft against the edgy leather. This cable knit sweater is a perfect pairing with the leather and creates a simple but cool outfit for fall. I’ll be wearing this throughout winter too and adding a fun pair of patterned fishnet tights and some booties for a little extra warmth!

Being new to pencil skirts, you just convinced me that they can be worn with sweaters. Thanks for that. 🙂 I have a great suede skirt that's not a pencil skirt, but I'm starting to think it should be. Special sewing instructions for leather/suede to take it in? 'Cause that would solve a lot of my fashion/fitting issues with that skirt…
Just make sure you use a leather needle on your machine (you can find them at JoAnn's or wherever). Also, if you own another pencil skirt, lay it flat over your suede/leather skirt and use it as a guide when you cut so it comes out the right size and accounts for your waist and hips. Also, cut BIG, since you can always take it in a bit more, but can't take it out if you've already cut it too small. Good luck!
Random question – What do you use to fill in your eyebrows?

I'm a fan of this juxtaposition too! And burgundy leather is a something fun and a little different than the usual black…I dig it.
