My five essential pieces of jewelry

Do you know how essential jewelry is to an outfit? It’s always the finishing touch to make an outfit feel purposeful and complete.

I don’t wear a ton of jewelry most of the time, but I always wear some! So today I wanted to share my five essential jewelry pieces in my closet.

This is my third “essentials” post that I’ve done this year. Check out my others:

Here are my five essential pieces of jewelry in my closet

1. Wrist Watch

I wear a watch every single day and cannot live without it now. It’s my most essential piece of jewelry.

Before I got my Apple Watch, I wore a Michael Kors watch or a Kate Spade watch, but now that I have my Apple Watch, I’ve retired all my other watches for the time being.

An apple watch isn’t the cutest, with its big square face, but I add cute watch bands to make it feel more feminine. You can see my favorite watch bands RIGHT HERE.

I have the series 3, 38mm size, and it doesn’t have all the bells and whistles like the new watches, but I love it and it does everything that I need it to do.

2. Gold Hoop Earrings

Gold hoop earrings won’t be the most popular earring style forever, but they have been for the last several years and they’re absolutely my go-to for everyday wear.

My favorite ones are from Walmart and are currently out of stock, but they’re about 20mm and that’s a perfect size for everyday wear.

I’ve rounded up a few similar ones below.

3. Mix and Match Rings

I wore only my wedding ring for years and years, but I’ve found that I love wearing a few other rings on my fingers. Usually they’re delicate gold ones that I can stack with my wedding ring and my 5 year anniversary band that Philip bought me.

My go-tos are from Madewell, but I’ve linked a few others below!

4. Stacking bracelets

One other way that I make my Apple Watch feel less ugly and more feminine and purposeful is to stack it with pretty bracelets. I love beaded bracelets right now, and I have a decent collection of them of different sizes and shapes that I can mix and match.

I’ve linked some of my favorites below!

5. Layering necklaces

There are a lot of styles of necklaces out there, but my favorites right now are just simple layerable necklaces. They’re varying lengths and thicknesses, and easy to mix and match.

I’ve linked a few favorites below!

You’ll see that almost all of these that I mentioned are “stacking” or “layering,” which means you can wear one or you can wear five. Add something minimal, or make a statement. That’s the beauty of this basic kind of jewelry!

And basically everything I linked here is GOLD, but if silver or rose gold is more your jam, go for that. I just love yellow gold right now and so that’s what I’m wearing.
