A great wardrobe is all about good staples. These are four pairs of jeans that are essentials in my closet — the ones I would keep if I could only keep four pairs!
The four pairs of essential jeans in my closet
If I could only keep four of the jeans in my closet, these are the essential jeans that I’d choose.
I did a post about my five essential shoes a few weeks ago, RIGHT HERE if you missed it, and thought it would be fun to share my essentials for other parts of my closet.
Essentials jeans #1: Dark wash jeans
A pair of dark was jeans are an essential in my closet. They’re so versatile and easy to dress up or dress down. Wear them with a blouse and heels for date night or girls night or a baby shower, or dress them down with a t-shirt and sneakers and baseball cap.
I own many pairs of dark wash jeans, but my all time favorite right now is my GOOD AMERICAN jeans.
They hug all the right places and are stretchy and comfortable. I wear size zero.
Essential Jeans #2: White Jeans
I really only wear these in the spring and summer (although you can totally wear them year round – there’s no fashion police!), but they’re definitely an essential in my closet.
I own several pairs of white jeans, and have looked high and low for the perfect non-see through pair, and this Levi’s pair is currently my favorite. I like the distressing, but they also come in a non-distressed style.
They’re true to size and I wear a size 26.
Essential Jeans #3: lighter/mid wash jeans
Right now I’m super into light wash. But in the past few years, I’ve definitely had more mid rinse styles.
But whichever you prefer, a lighter wash is a great option for casual outfits.
My favorite pair that is on constant repeat is THIS EVERLANE pair. They’re such a good straight, slight loose fit, but perfect fit in the waist.
They were a little long on me, so I chopped off the hem to make them a bit shorter. They’re true to size and I wear a size 26R.
Essential Jeans #4: Black Jeans
I wear my black jeans the most during the fall and winter, and THESE MADEWELL black jeans are my favorite.
I looked for a pair of black jeans that wouldn’t fade over time, and after two years with tons of wash and wear, these jeans aren’t a bit faded.
They’re super stretchy, true to size, they don’t stretch out, and I’m wearing a size 26R.
