The last few months with Peanut have probably been my favorite period of time ever with him. He is hilarious, smart, interesting, creative, clever, and so much fun. Although he has his two-year-old moments of stubbornness, he is typically such a gem of a boy — so obedient, so sweet, so aware of other people’s feelings, and so, so kind. Every day he gives me compliments, telling me how pretty I am, or how much he likes my shirt, or how yummy dinner was. All completely unprompted. He is also so affectionate lately, always wanting to sit right next to me or on my lap, and give me hugs and kisses.

He knows our family rules, and is always asking me if it’s okay to say something, or good manners to do something, or if he’ll get in trouble if he does something. He is constantly smiling, laughing, making funny faces, or telling a joke, and he loves to be the center of attention (unless you want him to be, and then he clams up).

He has always been interested in books, but lately he has become such a book lover. We go to the library all the time, and then all day he asks for me to sit down and read him a book or two (or five). He has also become obsessed with puzzles lately, and literally spends hours throughout the day putting together various puzzles (his favorites are these Melissa and Doug ones, and just recently he has mastered the art of putting them together all on his own. Proud mama).

I haven’t consciously been thinking about it til now, but I’m really soaking up these last few weeks before baby #2 arrives and my attention is divided. I am so excited to see Peanut become a big brother, but I’m also loving having him as my baby for just a bit longer.

. . . . . . . . .
With all of my outfit posts on this blog, it seemed only right to do a baby style post, especially since I wanted to feature his new leather belt from ONE Little BELT. It is amazing quality (so thick and sturdy), and since he’s on the smallest belt hole, he will be able to wear it for several years, which I love. I also love that it’s casual enough to be worn with shorts, but dressy enough to wear to church, so we’ll get tons of use out of it, and then it can be handed down to baby #2 when he’s big enough!
And now, the winner of the ONE Little BELT giveaway is Morris — Congratulations! Shoot me an email to claim your prize!
If you didn’t win, you should still check out ONE Little BELT and think about buying your babies some belts. They are amazing belts at amazing prices!

He is such a cutie!! I just love his eyes 🙂 So stylish, too! And what a sweetie pie. My little boy was (and is) a handful at 2/3 years old, so you are such a lucky mom to have such a well behaved little guy. 🙂 Or, maybe I just need to work on my parenting skills 😉

What a cutie pie! It so precious when your little boy tells you you're pretty or that he likes your necklace. 🙂 My little one is 4 now and thankfully still just as sweet. I am not looking forward to the day when smuggling with mommy is no longer his favorite thing. 🙂
