Today I’m excited to share with you my office space! When we moved into our new home, we decided to have the downstairs bedroom be an office space/guest bedroom. It’s a tiny room, so I spent ages going through different designs and layouts and configurations and furniture, trying to figure out the best way to utilize this small space for a dual purpose.
Finally we decided on a layout, and then teamed up with Joss and Main to make this space happen. And I’m so happy with how it turned out! They’re having a big 20% off sale right now — make sure you go check it out if you’re furniture shopping!

I have almost the same size space with the same dimensions acting as my office/guest room, and I’ve been struggling with what to do with my two tower bookshelves – I love the idea of a mirror between them! Thanks for the inspo 😉

I do have questions: Where do you keep all your photo equipment and your sewing stuff? I have my “office” in the living room and it looks a lot more stuffed than yours. Also do you keep your kids out of there? It looks so nice and full of stuff to break. Makes me miss my pre-Mom-days, when things looking nice and reflecting my personality were the priority. I wish there was a “Mom-Room” like there is a kids room. 😉
P.S.: I’d love a post about how you photograph your interiors, the pictures are gorgeous!
So is that a sleeper sofa if you’re using it as a guest bedroom as well as an office?
Oh my, this is what my perfect home office dreams are made of!! Beautiful interior decor!

Ohhh, will you post on that skirt soon?? I LOVE it! Its a gorgeous Rifle pattern.
I really like the idea of the printer sitting on the bottom shelf and the long desk, so your machine and serger fit on it as well as the computer.
Where do you keep all your sewing stuff?! (Fabric, notions, etc). And do you use that as a dressing room too? I’m just curious why you keep donmany shoes and accessories in there instead of your awesome closet? Very pretty though. I have the hardest time keeping my kids from touching my sewing stuff, do you struggle with that too?
I love how the mirror is in the center of the bookcases! Never would have thought to do that!!! The entire room looks amazing… plus functional!!

Where do you do all your cutting and pattern making? I’m hoping to do a similar setup in my next space and something I’ve always struggled with is making a large cutting surface work! Because let’s face it…my ideal cutting table is larger than most kitchen islands!
I have a closet in the room where I store my cutting mats. I have three that hook together to make one large one. I just lay them on the floor in the room! It can get a little messy because the space is small, but it works 🙂
I remember in your insta story you bought a different glass box before this personalized one. Where was it from? I’m looking for something smaller.
It’s from Amazon!
