These are in no particular order of importance!
White jeans are those jeans you can dress up or dress down throughout the summer. Throw them on with a fun Better Than Basic blouse and wedges and you’re ready for a girls night, date night, or a bridal shower. Toss them on with a t-shirt and sneakers and you’re ready for a day with your kids.
They’re also a great pair of jeans you can wear during the summer and not get so hot!
THESE are my favorite white jeans, if you need a pair. And here are some ideas for wearing white jeans.
A pair of denim shorts (whether you wear shorter length or bermuda length) are a great neutral bottoms option for the summer.
If you want a pair of non-denim shorts, I included some great ones RIGHT HERE!
I hope you own a few basic tees for summer! These are absolutely closet staples. You can dress them up with skirts and dress them down with shorts and jeans.

If you don’t own a good summer dress, it’s time to remedy that right now. They’re one of those easy pieces you can toss on at a moments notice and look and feel fabulous. You can wear them for church, bridal or baby showers, over your swimsuit to the pool or beach, exploring on a vacation, or any other number of places.
You could go for a classic white summer dress, something chic like a shirt dress, a super casual t-shirt dress, or something belted like these dresses.
Sandals are essentials in your summer wardrobe. I’d recommend getting a nice leather pair that you can wear with anything (my brown leather Hermes sandals are my go-to), and a pair of waterproof sandals you can wear at the pool or beach without them getting ruined.
The style of a dressy summer shoe is going to depend on your style and personal preference. For me, it’s a heeled sandal. But you could also do a light colored pump, a pair of wedge sandals or espadrilles, or even a nice pointed flat or loafer.
Choose what’s right for your wardrobe, but you should have one nice summer shoe option that’s neutral in color so it can go with anything.
You can’t have an entire closet full of casual t-shirts — you also need some neutral and versatile nice pieces! I did a round up with a bunch of Better than Basic tops RIGHT HERE.
You can wear it with jeans, shorts, skirts, or pants and it instantly elevates your look.
Summer hats are essential for me! I live in baseball caps during the summer, but if a straw hat or another summer hat is your style, go for that.
They’re great for keeping your face in the shade, and also great for covering up dirty hair.
Although I mostly wear sandals during the summer, a pair of crisp white sneakers is a great option for the summer. You can wear them with summer dresses, white jeans, shorts, or other outfits that need something to dress them down a bit.
A summer skirt is an essential in my closet. Something you can toss on with a t-shirt and feel pulled together, or dress up with a blouse.
Choose something that’s versatile in color, flattering for your body type, and easy to dress up or down.
For me, a tiered midi skirt is my top choice right now. I can wear it with a knotted tee and sandals for a casual look, or tuck in a blouse with heels for a dressy look.
