Navy tops are a great wardrobe staple, but finding the right bottom to wear with them can be tricky. I’m sharing all my tips for putting together an outfit with a navy shirt!
What to Wear With a Navy Top
Do you have a navy t-shirt, sweater, or top gathering dust in your closet? These tops can be so hard to style because they are often the same hue as jeans. I’m sharing all the best styling tips on what to wear with navy tops.
I found a few really cute tops from Walmart and wanted to share some easy outfits with navy tops. Walmart has tons of really great brands available on their site right now, Free Assembly being one of my all time favorites. They had a bunch of great navy tops and since they’re a little trickier to style, let me show you some cute and easy outfit ideas.
5 outfit formulas with a navy top
1. Monochromatic with blue jeans
Have you tried putting navy and navy together? A navy sweater and a navy coat make a great combination that’s very chic. Add a pair of blue jeans that’s a lighter shade and you have a great, dark-neutral outfit.
2. Navy top with white jeans
Even in the winter, you can absolutely wear white jeans (just be careful with muddy snow cause they can easily get dirty!)
Try your white jeans with a navy sweater and brown ankle boots for an unexpected, chic outfit.
3. Tan and navy together
The combination of navy and camel/tan is so sophisticated and chic. Try it! You could do it with white jeans, blue jeans, gray jeans, or olive bottoms.
4. Blue and black together
Yes, you can absolutely wear blue and black together! Try a navy top with black jeans or black leather leggings.
If you’re putting these two colors together in an outfit, try a bold shoe, like a leopard flat or a fun sneaker, or keep it simple and monochrome with a pair of black shoes.
5. Gray bottoms and a navy top
Gray and navy is another great outfit combination. You could do a gray pencil skirt or trousers for the office, or gray jeans for a more casual, everyday look.
