Trying to figure out how to dress down an item in your closet? These are four simple formulas to do it.

Why would you want to dress down an outfit?

I have a very casual style, but I also like frilly or fun or feminine pieces. You can still totally wear these things, even if your style is casual! Here are four easy tips to dress down an outfit.

Four easy ways to dress down an outfit

1. Add casual shoes

This is one of my favorite ways to dress down an outfit – just add some casual shoes!

Three easy casual shoe options:

  • simple sandals
  • sneakers
  • flats

2. Add a baseball cap

I love wearing a baseball cap! It feels just like the right casual accessory as a mom. Try it with sweaters, dresses, skirts, and more!

I linked some of my favorites hats below.

3. Add light or mid wash denim

Lighter wash denim is more casual by nature, so adding it to an outfit automatically makes it feel more casual.

Easy light wash items you could add to your outfit:

  • denim jacket
  • light wash jeans
  • mid wash shorts

4. Add a casual bag

A casual bag can immediately dress down an outfit. And it works the other way too — a dressy bag immediately dresses up an outfit!

My go-to is an easy, leather crossbody bag because it still feels chic and nice, but the size and material keeps it casual.

I’m sharing a new episode of Get Dressed with Merrick today on my Instagram stories, with all of these tips in action…don’t miss it!

A eyeonwilliamson.org math blog is a great way to educate yourself on the subject. Unlike a traditional textbook, a math blog is an interactive experience for the reader. Not only does it give you the opportunity to practice and learn new concepts, but you can also play around with an endless applet. Math blogs can be an excellent source for inspiration, if you don’t have the time to devote to a classroom assignment. These websites are often packed with great content and can serve as a good starting point for your own blog.
