Need a spring closet pick me up? These are three spring staples that are new in my closet and are all super versatile!
These three items are perfect closet staples for spring
By the time March rolls around, I think everyone is pretty done with winter and ready for spring to be here. We had a crazy winter storm last week, but now the beautiful weather is rolling in and I’m ready to ditch the sweaters and pull out all the spring fashion.
I’ve been adding a few spring-y things to my closet this week, and found some really darling pieces from Free Assembly at Walmart! They’re all super well made, they’re very affordable, committed to sustainability, and they’re perfect for giving your closet a little refresh as we get warmer weather.
Free Assembly is a new line at Walmart and has amazing pieces!
I’ve teamed up with Walmart today to show you three things that are easy additions to your closet that will help you get ready for spring. They’re all from Walmart’s new line, Free Assembly, which is full of affordable, classic, good quality, and fun pieces.
Spring staple #1: Breezy midi dress
I’m a sucker for a good midi dress, and they’re the perfect closet staple for spring!
Midi dresses are an easy kind of dress to throw on with heels to dress up, or a pair of flats or sandals to dress down. This white one is tiered and has little heart shaped polka dots. It also comes in a pretty blue color and black with white heart dots, and it’s under $40!
I added a brown belt to give it a little shape (although I love it unbelted too), and added some fun oxford flats for a bit of a preppy look.
Other ways to wear this dress:
- unbelted with flat sandals
- over a swimsuit at the beach with a floppy hat
- heels and a black leather belt
- layered under a cardigan with flats
Spring staple #2: Jumpsuit
I’m obsessed with jumpsuits for spring, especially when they come in colors as pretty as THESE ONES. I love a good one-and-done kind of piece, and this jumpsuit is perfect for that.
The quality of this jumpsuit is so good – the fabric is nice and sturdy, doesn’t get wrinkly super fast, and is soft and flexible – and it’s only $36!
I’m wearing a size XS, and it’s just the tiniest bit short in the torso on my 5’6″ frame. Not uncomfortably short, but just a heads up when ordering.
Other ways to wear this jumpsuit:
- white sneakers and a baseball cap
- wedges and statement earrings
Spring Staple #3: Flutter sleeve top
I love a spring top with a little special detail, and this yellow flutter sleeve top from Free Assembly is just that. It’s incredible quality — a really thick, soft knit, and the flutter sleeves aren’t too dramatic. They’re just the right amount of flutter. It comes in a few other gorgeous colors, but the yellow just felt so pretty and happy for spring.
This is the kind of top you could tuck into a skirt, tuck into jeans, wear untucked, half tuck….it’s so versatile, and only $16!
Other ways to wear this kind of top:
- cut off shorts and sandals in the summer
- white jeans and flats in the spring
- tucked into a pleated midi skirt with heels.
- layered under overalls
There are so many good new arrivals at Free Assembly for spring – check them all out right here!
