For the last two weeks we’ve been doing a special Sisters Share It All, where we’re talking about Wardrobe Staples. This is our last week, and we’re each sharing ten outfits that we created from our top ten pieces in our closet.
Here are my ten outfits.
And here’s the breakdown.
chambray top: target (similar)  // leopard belt: target (similar) // jeans: american eagle (shop) // wedges: payless (shop)
My dad used to wear denim on denim all the time and I thought it was so horrible. Sorry, Dad. You were apparently way ahead of your time, cause I love the double denim look these days. Especially with a little pop of leopard (which he did not do, as I’m sure you assumed).
dress: downeast basics (similar) // chambray: target (similar) // necklace: kohls // heels: payless (shop)

Although the Little Black Dress is a staple, it can sometimes be boring. Throwing a button up underneath and adding a fun statement necklace makes it anything but boring.

chambray: target (similar) // jeans: old navy (shop) // necklace: kohls // shoes: payless (shop)

Chambray and colored denim is such an obvious choice, but I love it because it’s comfy, casual, and cute. Add a big jeweled necklace and it ties the whole thing together.

tee: target (shop) // boots: macy’s (shop) // skirt: h&m (similar) // necklace: c/o wild about jewelryThis is the outfit I live in during the summer (except sandals in place of boots). You look pulled together, but are basically wearing the most comfortable outfit in the world.
striped tee: sam’s club (similar) // jeans: old navy (shop) // boots: macy’s (shop) // scarf: made by me // bracelet: target
This is one of my favorite outfits of the bunch. Pattern mixing, colored jeans, and boots…how can you go wrong?
striped tee: sam’s club (similar) // skirt: h&m (similar) // boots: macy’s (shop) // scarf: purchased in London (similar)
This outfit was loosely inspired by one of jcrew’s Looks We Love (here). Mixing bold stripes seems scary, but they say as long as there is one color in common, you’re good. I went with that and kind of like how it turned out!
dress: downeast basics (similar) // striped tee: sam’s club (similar) // boots: macy’s (shop) // tights: kohls (similar) // glasses: firmoo (similar) // necklace: forever 21 (similar)
Adding colored tights, cute glasses, and a pretty pendant necklace to this LBD makes it fun and casual. I love this outfit.
jeans: old navy (shop) // shoes: payless (shop) // belt: macy’s (old) // tee: target (shop) // necklace: gift from my mom
I was a little nervous about pairing two bright colors together, but it turned out as a fun color blocked outfit. I added a necklace with some turquoise in it and it helped complete the outfit.
striped tee: sam’s club (similar) // chambray: target (similar) // boots: macy’s (shop) // necklace: c/o dainty deals (shop)
Chambray is perfect for layering (that’s why I got a light-weight one), so this outfit was a given. Although I sometimes get worried about too much going on at my neckline, this mint statement necklace ended up being a perfect addition to the outfit.
cardigan: target (shop) // dress: downeast basics (similar) // boots: macy’s (shop) // leg warmers: refashioned by me (made from the sleeves of an old sweater) // belt: thrifted // necklace: c/o sebastian design (shop)Oh, I love this outfit. That gray cardigan is so comfy and dresses down the LBD so the look is casual and comfy. I added some leg warmers under my boots for a little pop of pattern, and threw on a belt to give the outfit a little structure.

  1. I love your Sisters Share posts; I keep hoping that my sister and I will do something like this one day….when she's not juggling three little ones. (I have two, but there's something about that third that turns everything into a circus!)

Great outfits, btw! What do you think of the Old Navy jeans? Do they hold their shape well?
