During the fall, jeans and boots are a staple for me. In fact, jeans are typically a year-round staple for me. But in the last few months, I’ve added several pairs of pants to my closet that aren’t blue jeans, and found myself reaching for those more often than regular old jeans. I hardly recognize myself.
So today let’s talk about some alternatives to blue jeans. With all the colored and patterned jeans out there, you can still feel comfortable while still trying something different. But since I always like to push myself out of my comfort zone and try new trends, I thought I’d try out a persha pant. I’ve only recently starting seeing people wearing these, and although I didn’t love them at first, they’ve really grown on me and I actually really love them now. They’re a perfect dress up with heels or dress down with sandals pant, and they’re super comfy.
I saw this pair from Bloomingdale’s recently and then found a nearly identical fabric at Jenny’s fabrics, so then I just had to make them. This pair was a total trial run since I hadn’t made a pair of pants since probably 1995 (literally), and had no clue if they would turn out or not, but I’m really thrilled with the end result. And now that I’ve done my trial run, I’m planning to make a few pairs for fall and make a full tutorial to go along with it. So stay tuned!
