This last week has been spent unpacking, organizing, and decorating the house, and finally after many exhausting days and late nights, we’re done. Except for a few photos that need to be put in empty picture frames around the house, and a few purchased items that haven’t been delivered yet, we’re completely done. Whew.
Now it’s time to enjoy living here, and, most importantly, get in the Christmas spirit since we’re only two weeks out! It’s feeling a little bit weird with no snow, and only slightly cool weather (I’m wearing sweaters anyway, dang it), but finally having the tree up is helping, and this week I plan to read lots of Christmas books with my boys, make lots of Christmas treats, do lots of Christmas activities, and maybe even turn on the fireplace if we can stand the heat. It’s looking to be a great week.
Glad y'all are getting settled in! The weather there is a little weird, but when my family lived in Northern Cali we did get to use our fireplace a little 🙂 Enjoy your California Christmas!

Oh take your time settling in! If it makes you feel any better, we moved when I was 5 months pregnant and now, with a 3 month old, I'm still working on unpacking some of the rooms. It happens. 😉

I know the weather has it's ups and downs here but I hope you enjoy it anyway. I will warn you, when it rains, make sure you leave extra early if you go anywhere because people get freaked out that it's "raining" and forget how to drive.
And btw, you look super adorable, love that outfit.

Welcome home to huntington beach! Most of my college roommates were from there and we took many a roadtrip so that place has a little peace of my heart. Do yourself a favor and go to Wahoo's tacos on main street and order a maui bowl. Then go enjoy it on the steps by the pier. And if you happen to meet any Pitts or Pratts at church, they are lovely people!

I recently moved to California and have been saying how hard it is to get in the Christmas spirit since it's so warm around here. I'm in Sunnyvale so it's constantly in the 60s.
BTW I hope I look that good after having a baby.
