On our first day in the Poconos, I mentioned we took some family photos. Since all of us are usually together only once a year, we have to take advantage of the opportunity and get a good photo for the family Christmas card. Yes, I had to photoshop everyone’s heads to get one photo where everyone was looking at the camera, smiling, standing up straight, and not blurry, but that’s beside the point.
Also, there are a billion more photos to go through and edit, but dude. My life is insane right now, and I’m lucky I got these two pulled into photoshop for a few touchups.
Oh, and thank you to everyone who tuned into the BYU radio show yesterday! It was so fun to hear that some of you were listening! It was a bit of a shocker when I showed up and they told me their primary audience was middle age well-to-do men (the complete opposite of my target audience on this blog), and suddenly all my prepared notes were totally worthless; but the show went on, I babbled on for a minute about khaki’s and dark wash jeans, and hopefully all those silver foxes out there were satisfied. All of you? Were probably bored out of your minds. So sorry.
There’s quite a bit more to the story, but I’ll save that for another day. Because I think it deserves its own hilarious post.
Happy Wednesday!
Beautiful family picture! (You mean everyone didn't smile beautifully and correctly the first time? How atypical for family photo sessions! 🙂

Your little one has such an adorable smile! He looks so happy.
haha I thought my in-laws were the only people who photo shop heads to make the picture perfect! My family just goes with the idea that one screaming baby, or a 4 year old making a face, or grandpa blinking. . . gives the photo character ya know?
You are just glowing! Great pictures!
Wonderful pictures! Glad you survived the radio show. Would like to hear about it.
Your pictures look so good!

Hi Merrick,
I stumbled across your blog from a guestpost you did a while back on Audrey's "Putting Me Together" blog and I'm hooked!
I love your refashions and your tutorials (though I know they must be time-consuming and a lot of work) are so thoughtfully written and helpful to baby sew-ers like myself.
Your family is adorable 🙂 and I'm definitely looking forward to your future posts. With another baby in tow though, things are probably going to get more hectic, so I hope you enjoy your time offline too!
Thanks for blogging :).
