Over the weekend, Philip’s family came into town to help celebrate Buck’s first birthday. Between a visit to the pumpkin patch, carving pumpkins, attending our church Trunk or Treat, spending a day at Knott’s Berry Farm, and of course throwing a little party, outdoor dinner-party style, for my baby, we had a total blast. Lots of fun, lots of good food, and, of course, great company.
However, with five kids under five in the house, the downside was that there wasn’t a whole lot of sleeping involved…my boys usually sleep in their own rooms, so putting them in the same room for the weekend was not their favorite. On Sunday night they were finally back in their own spaces, and poor Buck slept in until 10:30am the next morning — think he was a little worn out from the weekend?

Oh goodness, George and the Man in the Yellow Hat! What a perfect Halloween costume! Adore!! And that birthday celebration is the cutest! Love the little details 🙂 xo TJ
I am a quiet follower, but you are absolutely gorgeous. You seem like such a down to earth mom an amazing love for your boys! Thanks for sharing a bit of your life!
Trunk or Treat! Love it! I've been looking everywhere for that type of string of lights, where did you find them if I may ask? Look forward to all your posts, thanks!
Also, someone left a review on Target's website saying that since the globes are so fragile, they recommended unscrewing all the bulbs, hanging the wire, and then replacing all the bulbs at the very end. I did this and it took a little longer, but none of them broke! So I recommend that as well!
Gosh, I can't believe the little one is already 1 year old! Love the family photos! You have such an adorable family Merrick! BTW, you look so fabulous! :o) Adriana xxx http://www.zoealexanderuk.com

you have the cutest boys! they are so darling! and happy birthday to buck!
My favorite is Peanut's smile. Darling. Does he ever show his teeth when he smiles? Buck's eyes are so captivating!
Haha, his smiles are so silly. Either the wide open mouth or the closed lips!

They're from Target — I bought them online because they were out of stock at all the local targets. This was the cheapest I found by far.
