My Old Navy Haul:
Green gingham wrap dress
wearing size XS TALL.
I can’t say no to a gingham dress and this one is darling! I ordered a size tall for a little extra length, and it hits about 3 inches above my knee. It’s so flattering with the wrap style, and I’m obsessed with the puff sleeve.
It’s perfect with sneakers, heeled sandals, flats, or sandals. I shared it a few different ways above!
I also pinned the neckline just to keep it from being too low, since it’s a true wrap and can shift around throughout the day.

Old Navy Floral Peasant Midi Dress
Wearing size XS
Honestly I don’t love this dress. I think the floral print is super cute, but the dress itself isn’t my favorite. I’ve never been a huge peasant dress fan, and this one is not much better than any others that I’ve tried.
For one, the arm holes are fairly large under the arm, which I don’t love, and the gathering in the chest area is just kind of unflattering to your bust, in my opinion.
I think it looks so cute on the model, but this one wasn’t for me. I’ll be returning!

Floral print tiered midi dress
Wearing size XS
I wasn’t sure about this dress when I ordered it, but when it showed up in the mail I actually really liked the print. It’s more of a realistic floral print and feels different than so many other floral prints. It has tiered layers all the way down the dress, one of which cuts underneath my bust, which is not the most flattering cut for me, so I added a belt to give myself a little more shape.
But if you’re bigger busted or carry weight through your mid section, this is a great dress for you because it breezes over the middle area nicely.

Gingham Sweetheart Neckline Dress
wearing size XS tall
This is such a fun semi-casual dress that’s perfect for spring. I got a size tall for a little extra length, and it hits me about 3 inches above my knee.
The sleeves of the dress were a little loose on me at the shoulders, so it’s a little tricky to keep my bra straps and undergarments from showing, but still doable!
This is the perfect kind of dress to wear for a spring date night, to a baby shower or bridal shower, or to lunch with friends.

Denim Bermuda Shorts
wearing size 2
Longer shorts are tricky, so I honestly didn’t have high hopes for these denim bermuda shorts. But when they arrived I was super impressed! The fit is great, they’re stretchy and soft, but have good structure. And the price is INSANE. I’m normally a size 26 in jeans, and I’m 5’6″ if that helps you with sizing.
White Flutter Sleeve Top
wearing size XS
I added this top to my cart on a whim, and I absolutely love it. It’s a great everyday that’s a little Better Than Basic and easy to dress up or dress down. You’ll see me style it with workwear below!
It runs oversized and it’s a little bit sheer, so definitely wear a nude bra underneath.

White bermuda shorts
Wearing size 4
Since I haven’t tried Old Navy’s jeans in a few years, I wasn’t sure about sizing for the shorts, so I bought the blue denim ones in size 2 and these in size 4. And they actually both fit really well. Honestly, when I tried them on, I thought they were the same size…the white ones must run smaller than the blue denim ones.
The waist felt a little bit looser on these white ones, but they still fit well and they aren’t sheer! The have nude pocket lining too so the white pockets don’t show through the pants – I love that!
Lots of you have asked about white shorts, and I’d definitely recommend these.

Black pixie pants
wearing size 2 regular
I’ve been wanting to try out some dress pants since you guys ask for recommendations often. These are a great skinny cropped style, and I really liked the material, but the waist on these was too big on me. I’ll have to try a size 0 and see if that fits better overall. But I was really impressed with the fabric and the rest of the fit…they’re so cute and great for work.

I can’t figure out how you’re wearing some of these things with garments. I used to follow you for garment friendly outfits but these days whenever I try some of the things, they’re too short. what am i missing! I’m super frustrated about finding shorts and cute dresses/skirts that i can wear with my garments.
Pixie pants are amazing! I am a similar size to you but shorter, and I wear a zero in pixies.
I love that white top too.
Thank you thank you thank you! I live in Wisconsin and we don’t have that many stores nearby (no Nordstrom, no J Crew, no Gap even!) and I buy a lot at Old Navy as a result. Great to have your recommendations!
Kimberly, try switching to the new cotton stretch style. The sleeves are more workable and for whatever reason the petites in cotton stretch are several inches shorter than the petites in carinessa or other styles.
