With the summer quickly approaching, it’s time to add some summery shoes to your closet! I’m such a sucker for a good pair of shoes and can’t stop adding more to my closet even though my shelves in my tiny closet are overflowing. There are so many fantastic shoe trends this summer and DSW is one of the best places to look for shoes. First up, the Wedge. I’ve read articles about men hating wedge shoes, and my husband agrees that he way prefers a heel over a wedge, but I just love wedges. This gorgeous neutral pair is perfect with a floral dress, a neon bag, and some bright lipstick. I’m pretty sure this is my dream date night outfit.

Next up, the Boho Flat. Boho is such a perfect trend for spring a summer with all the maxi dresses and floral crowns, but I paired these simple nude Steve Madden flats with an outfit that felt a little more me — a pattern swing dress, some neutral pink gloss, and a statement bracelet. These flats could also go perfectly with a pair of boyfriend jeans and a blouse!

The Chunky Heel, or Block Heel, is a trend that is new and huge this spring, and I’m totally in love with it. This chunky heel is a little taller than some of the block heels, which makes it even more feminine and flattering on your leg. Since this Levity block heel sandal is so neutral, I paired it with a statement dress in one of my favorite colors — bright orangey-red. Add a matching lip and a statement necklace and you’re ready for a night out with the girls.

The Fashion Sneaker is so popular this summer and is one of my very favorite trends. I mean, as a mom of two speedy little boys, a pair of cute sneakers is a must. I’ve already picked up a couple of pairs and wear them constantly. These leopard print Steve Madden kicks are so fun, and are perfect for pattern mixing with a striped top for a sunny summer day. Throw on a little gold necklace and some bright lipstick to keep the outfit feminine!

The last spring trend that I’m loving is the jeweled sandal. Put away all your boring sandals cause this summer is all about the sparkle. These crystal embellished Andrew Geller sandals are such a simple and flattering shape, and the crystals really make them pop. Wear them for a stylish beach vacation with a simple summery dress, a mint bag, and a straw fedora — they’ll take you from the beach to dinner, keeping you chic the whole way!

    I am all about the cute sneaker – those leopard print slip ons are darling! I just got a few pairs of sneakers for this spring and summer, and I can't wait to wear them all 🙂
