Laundry Room Update

Partnership with Walls Need Love

Hexagon Walls Need Love Wallpaper

It’s been so fun to work on our house over the last few months (Before and after we moved). Philip and I both love to decorate, and although it’s hard for me to make a lot of decorating and design decisions all at once, we’ve had such a blast and have tried to pace ourselves so we make choices that we’re really happy with.

Our old house didn’t have a laundry room — just a little cut-out in the hallway for the washer and dryer, so I was excited to get a dedicated laundry room in this house. And I wanted to make it pretty so maybe I’d be more likely to fold the laundry after I washed it…always the struggle!

I’ve done a few projects with Walls Need Love this year, and realized that some simple wallpaper was exactly what this laundry space needed. We wallpapered our powder room here, put stripes on the ceiling of the nursery, and did thin stripes and a calendar decal in our playroom all in the old house, so it was time for this new house to have some wall love.

I agonized over which paper to use, but finally decided on this gorgeous gold hexagon paper. And when it arrived, it was perfect. It’s subtle and simple so it doesn’t overwhelm the small space, but it gives the space so much personality.

Our walls are slightly textured, but it went on without a problem (the walls in our old house were much more textured and it worked great there too), and was so easy to apply — the most time consuming part was making sure all the lines matched up. It’s a great option for renters who want to add their own touch to their home, but also a perfect and easy non-permanent solution for home owners. I’ve put up tons of wallpaper in my life (my mom loves it), so I know how big of a job it is to install, and this is so easy compared to that.

With the new year, it’s a perfect time to do a few house projects — go check out Walls Need Love’s selection of decals, wallpaper, murals, stripes, and more. There are so many project possibilities; you could wallpaper a dresser or create a fun wall design with their stripes!

This is a great redesign, but I’m waiting for you when you show your kitchen:) Recently I did my redesign, and realized that I have a lot of problems with appliances in particular problems with the dishwasher. I even read the article to determine what was wrong with it, but I had to call the master. In general, expect your kitchen!

My Laundry room update started with the repair of the hose for the washing machine and repair my dryer. The other little things, it was adding decor. Thank you for your photos and tips!
