My Most Loved and Used Kitchen Gadgets + Tools

 

There are a lot of kitchen gadgets and tools out there. I don’t feel like all of them are necessary for my day to day cooking, but these are my most loved and most used that are worth every penny.

These are my most loved and most used kitchen gadgets and tools, from my favorite spatulas to the pancake griddle I use at least once a week.

This is a great list if you’re looking for a good wedding gift for someone, or if you’re just trying to get in the kitchen more often.

THESE ARE MY FAVORITE KITCHEN GADGETS AND TOOLS

 

Waffle iron

I absolutely love having a good waffle iron. We’ve had THIS WAFFLE IRON since our wedding 13 years ago, and it has held up incredibly well.

I also use it to make paninis. I don’t make paninis often enough to justify a panini maker, so a waffle iron works perfectly in a pinch.

 

 

Good kitchen knives

Any time I travel to an airbnb or go to someone else’s home who doesn’t have good knives, I realize how much I love and rely on my good kitchen knives. We have THIS KNIFE BLOCK, and while it’s pricey, I use and love every single knife in there. Plus it comes with a sharpener so I can sharpen them up as needed.

Pizza Stone

We make homemade pizza at least twice a month, sometimes as many as four times a month. So a good PIZZA STONE is a must. We cook our pizzas directly on the stone, but we also leave the stone in the oven all the time to help regulate the temperature in the oven and make everything cook really nicely.

 

Rice and Vegetable Steamer

We got a rice cooker/vegetable steamer duo when we got married and it’s been used about 10,000 over the last 13 years. The bottom section is for rice, and it has a top basket for veggies, so you can cook them separately or simultaneously. Ours isn’t available anymore since it’s been so many years, but THIS ONE is very similar. The rice comes out perfectly every time — never burned!

 

Instant Pot

I was late to the game on this one, but finally bought myself an INSTANT POT at Black Friday last year. It was the best purchase ever, and now I use it at least once a week, sometimes many times per week. It cooks eggs perfectly in just a couple of minutes, cooks meat quickly, and I love making soup in there — just toss everything in and it’s done in 30 minutes or so.

 

Crock Pot

Before Instant Pots existed, my crock pot was my life. But even with an instant pot, I still use my slow cooker all the time. The one we have is old and not available, but THIS ONE gets amazing reviews on Amazon, and the 7-quart size is a good size for a family.

Griddle

A GRIDDLE is one of our most used kitchen gadgets. I use it to cook pancakes on the weekends, grilled cheese sandwiches for lunch time, french toast, and even hamburgers when we’re too lazy to go outside and use the BBQ grill.

 

KitchenAid

Out of all my kitchen gadgets, this might be my most loved. I freaking love my KITCHENAID. We got one for our wedding, but for Christmas this year Philip bought me a larger size. I use it many times per week to make pizza dough, cookies, muffins, protein balls, cakes, or just to shred cooked chicken (have you tried this trick? Use the paddle attachment and it perfectly shreds cooked chicken breast in seconds).

I just saw that this bigger version is 45% off through the weekend! WHAT. Such a good deal if you’re in the market.

Stainless Steel Pans

These aren’t exactly a gadget, but my mom gave us a set of STAINLESS STEEL PANS many years ago for Christmas and they have been the best things ever. They cook everything so nicely — way better than my non-stick pans I had for years.

 

Rubber Spatula

I love my RUBBER SPATULAS. They’re fantastic for scraping batter out of the Kitchen Aid, scraping smoothies out of the blender, mixing, spreading…they’re just a must have for my kitchen.

I’m actually not devoted to one brand, but I like ones with a wooden handle and a fairly flexible rubber spatula. So if you have a really good recommendation, let me know.

Stainless Steel Turner

My Grannie gave me two of these STAINLESS STEEL TURNERS years ago, and although they seem like a random kitchen tool to love, i absolutely love these spatulas. The stainless steel spatula is great for flipping pancakes, chopping meat or veggies as you cook, or scraping the bottom of the pan. I used these things to death until they literally both fell apart.

I didn’t realize they were only $5 on Amazon, so you better believe I’m ordering myself several more!

 

 

Vitamix Blender

I’ve gone through lots of phases of my life where I make a lot of smoothies. Right now I’m not really in one of those phases, but my VITAMIX BLENDER (similar that’s half the price HERE) is still a kitchen gadget that gets lots of love and use. I use it to make sauces, salsa, milkshakes, and of course smoothies when the occasion arises.
