Today is my favorite day of the entire year: the day we turn on the heater.

We figured since it was 18 degrees outside, and 57 degrees in our house, it was finally time.

Now it’s a glorious 70 degrees in here – I’m no longer feeling the need to wear gloves, wool socks, long johns, and a sweatshirt just to sit around the house.

I am warm, and life is good.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year!

Oh my heavens. . .fifty seven degrees? That is INSANE!

We were like that last year – we kept the heater off as much as we felt possible. But it makes me miserable. I like my home to be warm and cozy, so this year we’ve kept it at 71, which is usually about right.

At some point we all break down and turn the heater on.

Good grief, “child”! We set our thermostat at 65 degrees and that is chilly.

Don’t you just love fall? Just in the past week the weather here in Utah has turned into fall. It rained all day Saturday and Sunday, it’s been overcast for more days than that, I’ve started turning on my heat in the car, Mount Timpanogas is covered in snow, the leaves are beginning to fall off of the trees, and I even slept with a sweatshirt on last night and was not one bit hot.

What a great time of year.

I’m busting out the scarves and sweaters…

I completely agree with you; fall is my favorite season. I only wish that fall was a couple of months longer and winter a couple of months shorter. Winter could last just long enough for the holidays and then be done. That’s how it would work in my perfect world!

I love fall as well, any excuse to wear scarves. Sadly I don’t get the opportunity here in Vegas that often. It’s times like these I miss Rexburg and BYUi. Haha.

I will have to admit that fall is for sure my favorite season! I love accent clothes like jackets, hats, scarves, boots…LOVE! I also like the cool weather because it makes me feel like I have more energy vs. the hot weather when I feel drained all the time.

  4. I agree with Mary. I would like spring, summer and fall to each be a little longer and then winter last just a few weeks. Perfection.

Well, I’m in Trent’s camp on this one (by the way, Hi Trent! Haven’t run into you or your family for awhile!)
I miss the fall of the midwest. I can’t believe you already have snow in the Utah mountains. We’re still hitting in the 90’s every day. Can’t even imagine putting on a sweater yet. Lucky you!
