Over a year ago, I saw an ice cream dress on pinterest that was part of a Pepe Jeans London and Andy Warhol collaboration, and the print was just so cute. I wanted to make myself one for my birthday last year, but couldn’t find any fabric that I liked and then ran out of time.
Then a few months ago I remembered the idea and had to make it happen. I still couldn’t find any fabric that I liked, so I teamed up with Spoonflower to design and print the fabric. I absolutely love how it turned out, and it’s the perfect dress to celebrate my birthday today! (Of course I’ll be wearing it to my birthday dinner!)
The fabric is available for sale over on Spoonflower, and the tutorial will be on the blog this week for DIY Friday. If you want to snag yourself some too (so we can be ice cream dress twins, cause obviously that would be so fun), I printed mine on Silky Faille, and I ordered three yards (although I had some extra left over). It’s a smooth, sturdy fabric with a beautiful drape, and just a tiny hint of sheen (but not much).
Also, since ice cream prints are trendy this year, I rounded up a few ice cream print pieces in the widget below, cause they’re just too cute. (click each image to shop).
Awww!!! The cutest dress ever and you look absolutely adorable. 🙂

Oh and I also had a question. I really want to start making my own clothes, but I’m kind of a beginner when it comes to sewing. Which of your tutorials would you recommend and consider easier? Thanks!
Aww this is so cute! I can’t wait for the tutorial. And happy birthday!
This is the cutest post, I love the dress! Also, what polish are you wearing? It’s the perfect pink nude color.

I absolutely LOVE your style! It’s rare to see bloggers who wear dresses consistently to the knee, and I love that you display modesty in such a feminine and fashionable way!
