Materials:
-leather scraps (faux or real is fine)
-metallic gold paint (I used silver and gold from the Martha Stewart collection)
-sharp scissors
-sponge brush
– earring hardware
Step 1. Cut your feathers to your desired size. Cut two of each color/size (one for each ear).
Step 2. Using the sponge brush, carefully paint the “dipped” portion of the feather. Do a second coat if needed after it dries.
Step 3. Poke holes in the top of each earring (I used the sharp end of my scissors), then feed a metal ring through the hole and attach to the earring hardware.
Step 4. Using a sharp pair of scissors, cut slits (pointing up) in the leather on either side to resemble feathers. And you’re done!
Now let them dry, and then wrap them up as a fun little gift for your friend, sister, mom, or really any female friend! And don’t forget to add a blanket scarf to the gift box since they are the perfect pair!
