Next week I was planning to do a few patriotic-esque outfits, in honor of the 4th of July, but between yesterday’s red, white, and blue, and today’s fuschia, white, and blue, it looks like I’ve gotten a little ahead of myself. I guess all the fireworks that someone has been setting off all week (during the day no less…what a waste!) has gotten to me and I’m just feeling extra patriotic. From what I hear, the 4th of July is a BIG DEAL in Huntington Beach, so I guess it’s only fitting that celebrate it for two weeks straight. I should probably go eat a hot dog too, just for good measure.
Also, I’ve teamed up with Head over Heels today, and they’re generously giving away a $50 gift card to their store! This Ikat dress is one of my favorites, but I’m also loving this pretty mustard dress, this sweet lace peplum, and this gorgeous aztec print a-line skirt.

It is hard to narrow down what I would buy. I really liked a few of the maxi's. I also like the diagonal stripe 3/4 sleeve top.
Polka pot picnic dress is great, and I don't have anything yellow, so it would be a sunny addition 🙂
If I won I would definitely have to get the Multi Color Aztec Print Tank or the Aztec Print Maxi Dress. They would both add some great color to my summer wardrobe.

The 4th in Huntington is crazy!! If you live ANYWHERE near the beach and have to park on the street, DO NOT MOVE YOUR CAR ALL DAY LONG…YOU WILL MOST DEFINITELY LOSE YOUR SPOT until the wee hours and have to park so far away from home!! We lived up on Huntington and Joliet for a long time and people parked up there and so much farther up to avoid pay to park lots. A bonus was we didn't even have to go downtown to see the parade as it came down our street after it left Main St., so that was cool. 🙂 If you do go anywhere, it's a must to decorate bikes, strollers, wagons, whatever….it's can be a fun, but exhausting day to say the least! Have fun!!
