Then when I decided to go to the Utah blogger meet and greet on Wednesday night, and was searching through my closet for something to wear, I remembered this outfit. Perfect. A fun, but simple outfit. I wanted to be comfortable at this event, and not stand out too much, but look like I had made an effort, but not over-do it with an over-the-top outfit. Yes, I over-think everything.
button up: target (altered), orange cords: anthropologie, white skinny belt: cozy, boots: target, bracelets: gift from Philip
I added boots, a skinny belt, and some gold bangles, and loved how the outfit turned out. The event was so much fun too. I went with Leanne and Kayla, and met several other bloggers whose blogs I’d been reading for a while. Meeting the delightful Amy of Amy Day To Day was definitely my favorite part of the meet and greet. Afterward, Leanne, and Kayla and I sat and talked in the car for a while (while they fed their babies) and then hit up Arby’s for a late dinner. It felt like high school and college days with girlfriends again. So fun.
The place was about 3 times more packed than this at the beginning — this was right as the event was ending

aah, how I wish we had these kind of friendly meet-ups here! You look super lovely Merrick and I LOVE those orange skinnies! The Madewell lookbooks are always a good source of inspo for me too 🙂 xo Nikki
I wish I could have gone to that meet-up! Most of my favorite bloggers, you included, are in Utah! Oh well, I'll just have to live vicariously through your post. And your outfit is fantastic – so chic and simple.
Oh my gosh, you are just so cute! I love that you wore the boots with the outfit. And the meet up looks like so much fun! I agree with a previous commenter, that a lot of my fave blogs are in Utah. Bummer for me!
Oh my gosh, you are so nice! Chatting with you the whole time was definitely the highlight for me too! You ROCKED that outfit. I love how easy and classy it is!!
Adorable outfit, Merrick!! Love your orange skinnies. Audrey over at Putting Me Together had a guest blogger (enjoyed your guest blog there yesterday, too) that remixed pink skinny jeans. I'm inspired by you lovely ladies to go get me some colored jeggings! 🙂
I love the way its really simple with the plain shirt and trousers but yet looks so different and awesome 🙂 Looks like such a fun meet up- why do I live in England?! No one has meet ups here 🙁
You're super cute! I've only started to really care about fashion- I think because I'm just sick of the blah stage after having a baby- Anyways, I love your style! This outfit is awesome! 🙂

I used to live by Amy before we moved from Utah. I had no idea she had her own fashion blog. What a cool event. Wishing I didn't live so far away 🙁

So much fun going with you two! Your pants are adorable and I'm slightly envious at how well you rock them.
