I love a classic silhouette that can move through trends and different styles, and the Colette collection by Maeve does just that! I have the Colette pants in a few colors and fabrics, so I had to try the Colette skirt as soon as I saw it available. Here are 4 ways to wear this classic pencil skirt style.

Sizing details on this skirt:

There are two super similar skirts available at Anthropologie right now. THIS ONE is made of a linen fabric, THIS ONE is twill. The linen skirt stretches out with wear, so I recommend sizing down! I ordered the XS, which is my normal skirt size at Anthropologie, but I needed to go with the XXS because it loosened up within about 15 minutes of me wearing it. So definitely size down.

The twill one is true to size. In an XS, it fit perfectly and didn’t stretch out and didn’t wrinkle as much.

How to Wear the Colette Skirt By Maeve

1. Wear it casually for hot weather!

This is the perfect skirt for the next few weeks of warm weather. Add a cute striped or graphic tee, some sandals, and rock this cute skirt through the rest of summer (and then again in the spring next year!)

2. Wear it into fall with a cozy sweatshirt

I’m obsessed with pink and olive together, and this outfit feels so fun and cute, and perfectly casual as we head into fall. You could do it with a less bold colored sweatshirt, or just a pullover sweatshirt instead of a hoodie…but I couldn’t say no to the pink and green combo!

3. Wear it for work with a button up

This outfit can be super chic for workwear! Add a crisp button up shirt in white or stripe or cream or black or really any color, then add some flats or loafers or heels, and you’re ready for the office.
