Since the start of this semester, we’ve been getting up earlier than usual. The boy’s former school start time was 8:45am, but since we moved schools, our new school starts at 8:00am. It’s only forty five minutes earlier, but gosh that time difference is huge for me. I am such a night owl, so having to wake up at 6:40 in the morning is basically torture, no matter what time I go to bed.
But….even though I hate waking up early, I’ve been making the effort to get up and get completely ready before we head down for breakfast at 7:15. The older boys are able to get themselves dressed (I lay their clothes out the night before), and the baby sleeps until I pull him out of bed on our way out the door, so I have some uninterrupted time to get ready when I wake up early, so I take advantage of that time to get completely ready for the day.
I’m not very creative with my hair, but I have a few simple go-to hair styles that are quick and easy to do in the morning. This half messy bun is one of them and it only takes a minute. It’s quirky and cute, and keeps your hair out of your face all day.
I made a little video to share how I did it. You can watch it below or over on my YouTube channel. Â And if you want to do it with curls, you can see my hair curling post here!
Looking super adorable! Love the half messy bun trend going on now. 🙂

if only I had 1/3 the amount of hair that you have. *sigh*
This is such a cute look! And easy for short hair too!
