During the summer when it’s hot and sticky and I’m running around playing with my kids, the last thing I want to do is my hair.
Let me explain.
Remember those hot roller curlers we all had in elementary school? Well this is the 2018 version of those, but they snap into place so you can roll your hair up into a bun, leave it in all day, and then let it out at night to reveal some loose curls. Hello, genius!
If you remember how to do the hot roller curlers from back in the day, you’re ready to go with these. You just start rolling, rolling, rolling up the curler and then it snaps into place on either end. Then just slide hair around to cover the roller.
The Bun-2-Done comes with six curlers, four are shorter and two are longer. With the amount of hair I have, I needed the longer one.
Also, if you have a lot of hair, a low bun will be your best bet, and you’ll get a nice soft curl. But top knots are still possible — it just requires a hair tie first and then rolling into place. If you have thinner hair, your curls will be tighter!
We’ll be spending a lot of time at the beach this summer, and I think it’s the perfect solution to toss your hair back, throw a cute bandana around the base, and let the roller do its magic with the ocean breeze throughout the day. You could also do two small buns, or even three!
I rolled my hair up in one roller the other day, and without any product, and just brushing it out afterward, I got this really beautiful loose curl that you see above. If you want more of a tight curl, do a few more buns!
