We’re now down to one week before we move to California. The time has flown by unbelievably fast, and with the cold front moving in to Utah, I’m grateful to be heading to sunny California in just a few short days. But at the same time, I’d be pretty happy to just throw on some bright yellow and bring the California sunshine here, just so I didn’t have to leave my friends behind. Peanut’s last day of preschool is today, our last mommy school was last Friday, and our last Sunday at church is this coming weekend. So many “lasts” and goodbyes, it just making me sad.
Happily, I spent Saturday afternoon with some of my favorite girls at the Bijou Market, followed by lunch at Station 22. Cause if we have to say goodbye, at least we can do it over pretty handmade things and delicious food.

oh, you are the cutest. cutest!!
I could never pull off yellow so beautifully.
you and Janssen wear pregnancy and postpartum (although I dont see one LICK of postpartum evidence in these photos) SO well.
Love your cute yellow top…you are looking FAB post-baby, by the way! =) Best of luck to you with the move ahead…enjoy your last week in UT!
Thanks, Jenni! I'll be savoring all this cold weather, since we won't have much of that for Christmas this year 🙂
no more belly! i'm not used to it yet but you look absolutely adorable 🙂
I love love love that shirt and necklace!
You look fantastic post-baby. We have a newborn at home and I can only hope that I look that good soon. 🙂
Quick question, I love the baby wrap…where did you get it? I am sure this is one of your own creations, but thought I'd ask.
Congrats again on your new little love!
Thanks, Jennifer! And I'm sure you'll look great post-baby!
The wrap was a gift from my friend Leanne. It's a homemade version of the Moby Wrap, and she made a tutorial on her blog here. http://elleapparel.blogspot.com/2012/02/moby-wrap-tutorial.html. It's super simple — just a long piece of fabric that tapers slightly at the ends. Oh, and the Moby Wrap website has instructions on how to tie it. Good luck!
You look amazing! Cannot believe that you just had a baby.
By the way, where did you get that baby wrap? I need!
The wrap was a gift from my friend, Leanne. You can find her tutorial for it here: http://elleapparel.blogspot.com/2012/02/moby-wrap-tutorial.html.
love all the yellow! so bright and cheery! xo
You look fantastic! I am loving the baby wrap too! Did you make it?
Thanks so much, Meagan!
The wrap was actually a gift from my friend, Leanne. She has a tutorial on her blog for it:http://elleapparel.blogspot.com/2012/02/moby-wrap-tutorial.html, and the wrap instructions can be found on Moby Wrap's website. Good luck!
You look amazing! Where did you get your purse/diaper bag? I am looking for something dual purpose and I love yours!
The purse is a timi and leslie brand, and the bag is called the dawn convertible bag. It was the cheapest on amazon, so I bought it there.
You look awesome!! Here's to hoping I look that awesome in April. My baby is due in March, so we'll see. I'm with the others and would love to know where you purchased your baby wrap? Or did you make it? So cute!!
Love it! I'm in Northern California right now visiting my mom, and when I came downstairs in a yellow tank yesterday she exclaimed, "You are SO from San Diego!" You'll fit right in, Merrick. 🙂
HOLY MOLY you look fantastic!!!!!!!!!!!! Cali here you come! xoxo
Moving is so hard! I'm sorry you're feeling it. Can't believe it's coming up so quick!
You look beautiful, and your friends love you. You'll see them soon, i'm sure!
You look fabulous! Where in southern California are you moving to? The sun is for sure shining here; feels more like spring than fall/winter to me!
You are looking wonderful! I hadn't thought of wearing my yellow bubble necklace over a yellow print… Thanks for the idea 🙂 Hope things go well with the big move!
Love the bright color on you! So cute
I'd like to second the request for info on your baby wrap. SO CUTE! Love your blog!
The wrap was a gift from my friend, Leanne. She has a tutorial for it on her blog here: http://elleapparel.blogspot.com/2012/02/moby-wrap-tutorial.html. It's super easy and then moby wrap has instructions for tying it on their website. Good luck!
You look lovely! Cannot believe that you just had a baby.. You look super!
I love your hair color and that baby wrap! I normally hate how they look, but that is adorable! Did you make it?
I'm with you that most wraps and baby carriers are pretty ugly! But I love this one too.
It was made by Leanne of Elle Apparel. She has a tutorial for it here: http://elleapparel.blogspot.com/2012/02/moby-wrap-tutorial.html, and I found wrapping instructions on Moby Wrap's website.
You freaking skinny mini! Just had a baby, moving and you look awesome…I'm so proud to know you! I want to know everything about your move! Maybe we can hit up Disneyland together?! Good luck with everything!

I love that necklace! An you look fantastic after just having your baby! Good luck with the move! 🙂
i can't believe i haven't said it yet, congratulations on your new little one!
Congrats on the baby! He is so cute. I know this a silly question, but the sweater your wearing, is it the same kind that you altered the pockets on previously? I really like the look of it and was wondering where you got it?
Hi Merrick, I have been a fan of your blog for a little while now, congrats on your new little one and good luck with the move!! I would also really love the details of your gorgeous baby wrap as I'm having my second bub in May 2013!
Congratulations on baby #2! He looks so very sweet all wrapped up 🙂 The first thing I thought when I saw this picture pop up in my email was, "I'm missing yellow in my closet!" now I know what color to look for on my next clothes shopping adventure! This outfit is super cute, and a perfect post-baby body choice.
Good luck with the move as well!
