I’ve shared a lot of gift guides over the last week, but here’s what we’re actually getting our boys for Christmas this year!
What we’re giving our kids for Christmas
I share lots of gift guides every year, (you can see them all RIGHT HERE), but today I wanted to share what we’re actually giving our kids for Christmas this year. This is always one of my most popular gift guides cause it’s fun to see what other people are buying their kids!
I absolutely love giving gifts…it’s one of my top love languages. So choosing gifts for my boys is so fun, and I try to get them a variety of things that they’ve asked for, and what I’ve chosen.
I’ll usually give them a new item of clothing or two, always some new socks and underwear in their stocking, usually a new book series, a new family game, and then some other things I’ve found or they’ve been hoping to receive.
What we’re giving our 15 year old son:
- Invisible Library Series. My oldest loves to read, and this is a newer series that has good reviews and looks like it’s something he’ll enjoy!
- Nike hoodie. This hoodie is such a good color, and is a great one he can wear all through winter.
- Lululemon Joggers. These are my husband’s favorite joggers, and last year I got a pair for my teen and he loves them too! They’re really nice looking – much dressier than sweatpants! I’m going to get him one more pair in navy blue.
- Nike Sweatpants. My boys love sweatpants, and these are nice, thicker sweatpants with a little more shape and structure than your basic pair.
- Range Finder. My oldest was on the high school golf team last year, and this year he’ll be trying out again. This rangefinder is on his wishlist!
- Cuff Links. I was introduced to this small business, Nihao Shirts, this year, and they create shirts for men and kids that are wrinkle free and super comfortable fabric. They also sell cufflinks and my boys are loving wearing a French cuff shirt with cufflinks. I’m not sure which pair I’ll pick yet, but he already has the Piano pair and they’re so cool. They gave me a code – “merrick” works for a discount on their site!
- Graphing Calculator. This one is a necessity for school, so this falls under the “something you need” gift category!
- Graphics Card. My older boys are building a computer this year and this is a big component that they’re hoping to get as a gift to subsidize some of the cost of the build. This will be their big gift!
In his stocking:
- Funny Socks
- Underwear
- Crazy soda (I shared about this tradition HERE. I’ll find something good a week or so before Christmas!)
What we’re getting our 13 year old son:
- Chiefs Sweatshirt. These Abercrombie sweatshirts are so cool, and they have a ton of NFL team options. We’re Chiefs fans, so I think my 13 year old will love this!
- Nike Sweatpants. My 12 year old lives in his gray sweatpants, so I’m getting him another pair of these more structured, warm joggers for Christmas!
- Cuff Links. I was introduced to this small business, Nihao Shirts, this year, and they create shirts for men and kids that are wrinkle free and super comfortable fabric. They also sell cufflinks and my boys are loving wearing a French cuff shirt with cufflinks. I’m not sure which pair I’ll pick yet, but he already has the basketball pair that he loves. They gave me a code – “merrick” works for a discount on their site!
- Yeezy Slides. He has been begging for a pair of these for a few years, and after buying a few similar, cheaper options, they fell apart so fast, so I’m finally caving and buying the real deal. These are expensive and I hope they’re worth it!
- Spurs Jersey. Every sports lover loves a jersey!
- Charlie Thorn Book Series. I love getting a new book series for my boys – we’ll see if he likes this one!
- Graphics Card. My older boys are building a computer this year and this is a big component that they’re hoping to get as a gift to subsidize some of the cost of the build. This will be their big gift!
In his stocking
- Underwear
- Cat Socks
- Nike Socks
- Crazy soda (I shared about this tradition HERE. I’ll find something good a week or so before Christmas!)
What we’re getting our 9 year old son:
- National Parks Mysteries Series. I think my 9 year old will love this book series!
- Nike Sweatpants. My boys love their gray sweatpants, so I’m grabbing a nicer pair for each of them!
- Louvre Off-Brand LEGO set. Since regular LEGO sets take only a few hours to put together, I’m getting him this off-brand set cause they take way longer to put together. My mom bought the kids a set a few years ago and it took about two weeks for them to finish putting it together, so we’ve been buying these ever since! We’re going to Paris to visit my parents after Christmas, so this one is appropriate.
- Globe Off Brand LEGO set. This is another super cool set of these micro building blocks! I think he’ll love this one.
- Leggings for underneath shorts. My two youngest boys wear shorts and leggings pretty much every day during the winter cause they want to still wear their shorts. They have several pairs of these Amazon leggings already, but they are sprouting holes, so I’m grabbing this 3-pack so they have a bunch more to wear this winter.
- Hogwarts Library Collection Yoto Cards. My youngest loves his Yoto Mini. He listens to audiobooks on it all the time! His favorite series to listen to is Harry Potter, so I think he’ll love this Hogwarts Library Collection set. The Yoto Mini would also make an amazing gift!
- Diagon Alley LEGO set. He has requested at least one real LEGO set, and I think this Diagon Alley one is so cool!
What we’re putting in his stocking
- Underwear
- Minecraft Socks
- Nike Socks
- Crazy soda (I shared about this tradition HERE. I’ll find something good a week or so before Christmas!)

What a heartwarming post! Your boys’ excitement for Christmas is so contagious. It reminds me of how magical the holidays felt when I was young. Speaking of holiday magic, we recently started a new tradition in our family – creating personalized Christmas ornaments together. It’s been such a fun way to bond and make lasting memories. If anyone’s looking for creative ornament ideas, we found some great inspiration here: https://modern60.com/senior-lifestyle/6-types-of-christmas-ornaments-you-should-know-about . Your tradition of Christmas Eve pajamas is adorable too – might have to borrow that one!

Your gift guide is absolutely amazing and so thoughtful. I love how you’ve tailored each gift to your boys’ individual interests and needs. It’s fascinating to see how Holiday Shopping Trends are reflected in your choices, The mix of practical items and fun surprises is spot-on, and I’m sure your boys will be thrilled on Christmas morning.

A very heartwarming post—you can feel the genuine joy of choosing gifts and the anticipation of the holiday. I was recently planning surprises for my nephews and decided to give them sneakers from their favorite brands. However, there were some complications with the order: one of the sizes arrived wrong, and I was pressed for time. I quickly contacted customer support at https://foot-locker.pissedconsumer.com/customer-service.html — I read their tips on how to quickly contact support and arrange an exchange. Everything was resolved, and the kids got exactly what they wanted.
Love these gift ideas for three boys — practical, fun, and age-flexible. For a small personalized touch, I like turning favorite photos into pixel art prints or custom T‑shirt designs using Image Pixelator, it’s an easy way to make something uniquely theirs without a lot of fuss.
