For this special occasion, we decided to make a painting for him. Everybody' />

Last week Philip’s grandpa turned 90.

For this special occasion, we decided to make a painting for him. Everybody chipped in…I did the painting, my in-laws bought the frame, and (not to be forgotten), Philip attached the painting to the frame.

Grandpa and the rest of the family loved it and are thrilled to have a nice portrait done of him. And if any of the family members are reading this, don’t even think about trying to sneak this painting into your portion of the will.

Happy Birthday, Grandpa. We love you.

As always you did a great job. He'll always cherish such a beautiful painting.

  2. Merrick, it was great meeting you and I was honored to be a part of my Uncle Gil's 90th! The unveiling of the portrait was exciting and I know something everyone will cherish for years to come. If you and Philip are ever in the San Francisco area please give us a shout! Best of luck to you in what ever direction you choose to take…you are very talented! If you ever need a family of four to draw/paint let me know…I will be happy to send a picture of my family! 🙂 Love to the whole Utah group!

Wow. Merrick, you have become quite the artist. In London, I knew you liked to draw, but not until after London did I learn that you are a master!
