Holiday Party Dresses + The Best Kept Shopping Secret

I’ve been getting a lot of requests for good holiday party dresses, so I’ve teamed up with Nordstrom today to share a few of my favorites, plus accessories!

Let me let you in on the coolest little secret of Nordstrom…did you know that on their site you can search just the items in your local store? Just use the sidebar to get to the category you want, and then up at the top of the page there’s a little tab that says “All Items” or “Shop Your Store.” Slide it over to the right, put in your zip code, and then it shows you everything that’s in stock at your local store.

But wait, it gets better. You can add items to your cart and select “in-store pickup” and the items are ready to be picked up within two hours. AND THEN…you call them ten minutes before you arrive and they walk your bag out to your car. You just pull up and they’re waiting for you. WHAT. You can see all the details here.

So if you’re in a pinch for a holiday party this year, Nordstrom will save your buns (and have them looking good in one of these pretty outfits, too).

So now let’s talk holiday party looks.

Personally I like a classic holiday red, or a little black dress, so for my look I went with this gorgeous sleeveless red dress. I like a sleeveless option sometimes because there’s lots of ways you can wear it.

I paired this dress with a striped turtleneck underneath, and then added a pair of black tights, some black stilettos, and a little black clutch.
