Two years ago for Valentine’s Day, my sister in law and her family came to visit. We had a fun V-Day dinner all together, and as part of it we each made floral crowns. I think they’re such a pretty, feminine accessory and are fun to wear this time of year to a Valentine’s (or Galentine’s) party, or really whenever you feel like adding a pretty, floral touch to your outfit. And of course my little nieces were obsessed with them and wore them all night long.

This one is super easy to make, and although I just used baby’s breath and some little green leaves, you can use this tutorial and add as many other kinds of flowers as you’d like. Just have fun with it!

Materials Needed:
– silk baby’s breath flowers (I bought mine at Jo-Ann’s. I bought two bunches of baby’s breath, but only ended up needing one).
– one bunch of small green leaves
– wire cutters
– floral wire
– floral tape
– scissors
Step 1. Cut small bunches of flowers and leaves off of the main branch.
Step 2. Use your wire and create a double-thick circle that will fit on your head. Twist the wires together as best you can so they act like one sturdy circle of wire.
Step 3. Cut a piece of wire about 10 inches long and use it to start attaching the small bunches of flowers to your wire circle.
Continue doing this, cutting 10 inch pieces of wire and layering more flowers and leaves until most of your wire band is covered. I chose to leave the back of my crown empty, but you can go all the way around if you’d like.
Step 4. If you do choose to leave the back empty, use your floral tape to secure the ends of your flower stems and transition them smoothly into the empty wire.
And that’s it! So easy, and such a gorgeous accessory, right?
