Why the “before” sweatshirt outfit needs improvements:
Let’s make this sweatshirt outfit a little better! The sweatshirt print is fine – I like tie dye just as much as the next girl. But the fit of this sweatshirt is really bad with jeans. It’s too long to half tuck without getting tons of bulk, and untucked it hits right at the hips and creates a tire around my hips.
I love high top sneakers, but with a very skinny jean that hits right at the top of the sneaker, you get a bit of a pinched look at the ankles.
There’s nothing in this outfit that is drawing attention up toward my face!
A few easy ways to improve your sweatshirt outfits:
Add a pair of simple earrings to elevate the outfit, add a touch of sparkle, and draw some attention up to my face.
If you’re wearing jeans, choose a shorter sweatshirt that you can leave untucked without the tire, or that you can half tuck for a little more leg line.
With a basic sweatshirt outfit, it can feel a little bland. Add a fun shoe with a pop of color or print to add some fun to the outfit.
I talk a lot about the best and most flattering length of jeans. Jeans that hit you right above the ankle bone are super flattering.
If you’re more of a visual person, here’s the same advice in action

Why these outfits work:
It’s fun to see sweatshirts styled in different ways! Fully tucked looks great on some body types, longer lengths with leggings are totally appropriate, and hoodies underneath a jacket makes a really cute, casual look. You’ll see every outfit has sneakers — those work really well to match the dressiness level of the rest of the outfit!
Now go wear your sweatshirt outfits, and wear them well!
