Need a cozy, warm and cute winter hat? I’m sharing some cute options today and 4 ways to wear winter hats this winter.
I love adding cute winter hats to my outfits during the cold months. Sometimes they’re a necessity during the winter, and sometimes they’re more of a cute accessory.
If you struggle to wear a beanie during the day without looking like you’re going sledding, here are a few ways to wear them in everyday outfits. (But of course all of these could be worn for winter outings, including snow sports, if you add extra layers!)
Puffer coat and leggings
This is a cute and casual kind of outfit that you could wear for everyday during the winter, but also would be darling for a ski trip! Wear a cozy sweater and thick warm leggings, add some lace up boots and a sleek black puffer coat (wear a longer and thicker coat, of course, if you need more warmth).
The black beanie adds some coziness to the outfit, and the pom pom style makes it feel fun and a little whimsical.
Monochromatic with a beanie
An easy way to make a beanie make sense with your outfit is to choose a sweater or coat or jacket in the same color as the beanie. This green beanie and green sweater aren’t the same shade of green, but they’re in the same color family so they work together in a monochromatic way.
I kept the rest of my outfit simple and classic so the beanie and sweater could stand out.
Beanie and a hoodie
Beanie’s are casual and hoodies are casual, so they’re a great combination. I chose casual high top shoes to keep with the dressed down theme, and then added a classic black coat to tie the whole thing together and keep the look a little more elevated and structured.
Beanie and a vest
If you’re a vest wearer during the winter, a beanie is a great addition to your outfit. I layered the vest over a pullover sweatshirt and long sleeve layering tee, and then paired with leggings for a casual feel. But you could absolutely do black or blue jeans with this outfit!
