Time for this week’s dinner ideas! It was a really busy week with a lot of events, but I loved the time we had to eat together at home.

Our weekly menu will give you some good dinner ideas

Time for this week’s dinner ideas! While we had a lot more meals out/leftovers than normal, I still wanted to share what a busy week of dinners looks like for us.

Here’s a quick review of our weekly dinners:

Monday: Turkey Noodle Soup

Tuesday: Leftover Turkey

Wednesday: Free Choice

Thursday: Charity Event

Friday: Mavericks Game

Saturday: BBQ Chicken Pizza

Sunday: Lasagana

Sunday Dessert: Ooey Gooey Butter Cake Bars

Turkey Noodle Soup

On Sunday last week, we made a traditional Thanksgiving turkey dinner since we were in Mexico for Thanksgiving. We always do turkey soup with the leftover turkey, and it’s the best!

BBQ Pizza

This is our favorite pizza. We put grilled chicken, BBQ sauce, frozen corn, and fresh jalapeños on it.

Lasagna

I don’t make lasagna very often cause it’s pretty involved, but it’s a good Sunday night dinner. This one is delicious and pretty simple!

Ooey Gooey Butter Cake Bars

This is one of my all time favorite desserts. It’s pretty easy to make and super rich and filled with butter (hence the name) but it is SO delicious. If you’ve never tried it, you must!

Weekly Menu, January 2 – 8

January 2-8 Dinners

Time for this week’s dinner ideas! We were out of town at the start of the week, but we made some delicious recipes at the end that got us back into a normal routine.

Our weekly menu will give you some good dinner ideas

For the first half of this week we were in Arizona visiting Philip’s family, so I didn’t start cooking again until Thursday night. But here’s our shortened menu this week with some delicious and easy dinners that are getting us back into a normal routine!

Here’s a quick review of our weekly dinners:

Thursday: Tortellini Soup

Friday: Ham and Pineapple Pizza

Saturday: Ground Beef Tacos

Sunday: Chicken Marsala

Sunday Dessert: Gooey Rolo Cookies

Tortellini Sausage Soup

Tortellini Sausage Soup

I’ve been making this recipe for years and it’s one of our very favorites! It’s hearty and packed with veggies and protein and lots of goodness, but it’s not heavy since it has a clear broth. My kids all love it too. Definitely a good weeknight soup for a chilly evening.

Ham and Pineapple Pizza

Ham and Pineapple Pizza

We still have leftover Christmas ham in the freezer, so we’re slowly making our way through that with lots of ham recipes. This is one of my favorites to make with leftover ham — pineapple and ham pizza! I used to hate Hawaiian pizza, but when I started making it with good ham and fresh pineapple, it was a game changer. Definitely better than canned pineapple and Canadian bacon..try it! I always use Mels Kitchen Cafe’s fool proof pizza dough.

Beef Tacos

Ground Beef Tacos

Ground beef tacos are my kids FAVORITE meal. Like, as basic as it comes, but they love them. Usually we go out to eat on Saturday night, but we’ve been eating out so much during our holiday travels that I’m ready to just eat at home for a few weeks. So I made these easy tacos for Saturday night and served with chips and salsa!

Chicken Marsala

Chicken Marsala

This is a recipe I’ve been making for years and it’s from my friend Kayla, who used to do a cooking instagram page. She hasn’t done it for years, but the recipe is on her instagram post. It’s super flavorful and delicious and a good Sunday dinner served with veggies and noodles.

Rolo Cookies

Rolo Cookies

Cookies are my favorite and I basically won’t say no to any kind of cookie, but these ones look particularly good! We’re making these for Sunday dessert this week!
