Formula #1. Skirt with tights and a fitted long sleeve top

This is an easy formula that you can put together with things already in your closet. You can do a pleated skirt, a swing skirt, a pencil skirt, a short or long skirt…whatever you’d like!

If I’m doing a fitted top, like this black turtleneck, I like to balance the outfit by doing something a little more flowy on the bottom. But play around with skirt and top combinations and see what works for you.

2. Sweater dress with ankle boots

A sweater dress is a great option in the winter. You can belt it or not, and if you need to walk through ice or snow, choose a pair of sleek boots with a lug sole so you don’t slip!

I added a pair of taller socks under the boots for extra warmth and a little softer transition between the black boot and my leg.

3: Pair a skirt with a sweater

This is one of my favorite, easy combinations….a cute and cozy skirt, a not-too-oversized sweater, and some ankle boots. Easy to wear, comfortable, and you look pulled together.

4: Tall boots with a flared skirt

I don’t reach for my tall boots often enough, but with a flared skirt or dress that comes above your knee, a taller boot is a great option. You want at least some gap between the boot and the dress.

Thank you for these winTer dress ideas! I noticeD that you have tights on in one of these picturEs…do you ever wear nylons or pantyhose? I usually only wear them in the winter or fall… and they are usually light black or Off white, depending on what i’m wearIng. But am i off the mark on this? Are nylons out?

I found this idea of a family economy system fascinating! I’ve been trying to teach my children about financial responsibility, and this method seems like an excellent way to make it practical and fun for them. Implementing a system like this could really help them understand the value of money and hard work. I appreciate the detailed breakdown and the personal touches you added about your experience. It’s motivating to hear how it has positively impacted your family’s understanding of finances. By the way, if you’re looking for a little fun downtime, I highly recommend playing Gates of Olympus athttps://gatesofolympus.app/ it’s quite the entertaining game!
