Our weekly menu will give you some good dinner ideas
Time for this week’s dinner ideas! Like usual, it was a busy week, so all of our meals were pretty simple but still tasty and comforting.
Here’s a quick review of our weekly dinners:
Monday: Carnitas Tacos
Tuesday: Waffles
Wednesday: Turkey Panini’s
Thursday: Two Meat Chili
Friday: BBQ Chicken Pizza
Saturday: Family Date Night
Sunday: Green Chile
Carnitas Tacos
I had some leftover Carnitas pork in my freezer, so I pulled it out, crisp it up in a pan, and served on fresh tortillas with cheese and avocado. Super easy for a weeknight.
Waffles
I don’t do breakfast for dinner very often, but waffles seemed like a good idea, and I always make a huge batch so I have a ton to throw in the freezer for snacks and breakfast for the next week or two. These are the best waffles ever, they are so crispy and perfect.
Turkey Paninis
This was a quick and simple sandwich that I threw together on a football night. I had leftover prosciutto in my fridge, so I crisped up in the oven and added it to the sandwich. So delicious, and the kids loved it.
Two Meat Chili
If you are looking for a good chili recipe, this is it. The weather has been cooling down lately, so this was a perfect dinner. I cooked it in the crockpot, which made it taste even better because the flavors had all day to blend together.
Turkey Paninis
This was a quick and simple sandwich that I threw together on a football night. I had leftover prosciutto in my fridge, so I crisped up in the oven and added it to the sandwich. So delicious, and the kids loved it.
Green Chile
This is one of our very favorite Sunday dinners. It cooks all day long in the crockpot and I serve with fresh cheese and homemade tortillas
I really appreciate these suggestions. I had been wondering if tights were still in style. 5 or 10 years ago I saw more colored tights and I don’t see them worn anymore but it’s good to see that black or navy tights are a staple.
Every Summer After, like its heroine, is a very honest book. And for all the ease of reading, makes you keep it in your head, going over the questions: what makes us happy.
