Chocolate brown is a very trendy color right now – but I also think it’s a classic that is timeless. We all know that white and cream go well with brown, but can other colors go well with it? Absolutely, and I’ll show you how.

What Colors to Wear With Chocolate Brown
BROWN AND TAN
You know I love monochromatic, and a brown and tan combination is perfect for the winter when you want something sleek and simple. You could pair these colors in a dressier outfit, with a brown sweater and tan pants, or brown coat and tan sweater dress, or whatever works best for you, but I love this legging and hoodie casual combo with boots and a coat.

BROWN AND RED
I love this chocolate brown and red combination! If you’re wanting to wear red in the new year without looking Christmassy, this is a great color combination to try.

BROWN AND MARIGOLD
I didn’t think of this color combination until I was looking for another coat in my coat closet and pulled this one out. But I absolutely love it! It’s another monochromatic feel, but is a richer, brighter color that’s great for any season.

This is a great winter combination. Dark green and chocolate brown – rich, neutral, and gorgeous. I have a beautiful dark brown sweater dress that I’ll have to try with a brown coat, for another version of this color combination!

I love this outfit, probably because I just really love monochromatic. But the brown sweater and brown coat just look so chic! I paired with casual jeans and boots, but you could do a skirt or a pair of dark jeans for something a little dressier.

This is one of those color combinations I did not expect to love as much as I do! This is so pretty and feminine. I’ll be doing this combination again!

I can’t believe I haven’t paired this together before! Olive green is one of my favorite colors, and I think it looks perfect with brown. I’ll be doing more of this combination in the future now that I have a few more chocolate brown pieces.

You could do brown and white OR brown and cream — either of them would look amazing. But cream is just a little softer, so I think it works great with the chocolate brown.

BROWN AND POWDER BLUE
This is another color combination I did not expect to love so much. Powder blue is one of the big colors of the season and I had to try it. As soon as I put it together, I knew it was a winner. I’ll be wearing this combination again for sure.

BROWN AND COBALT BLUE
Cobalt blue was a big color last year, and I think this works, but honestly it’s not my favorite. I think cobalt blue is just a little too bold and bright for me. But if you have some cobalt blue in your closet and are trying to figure out how to wear it, try it with chocolate brown — I definitely think the colors work together!

If you’re looking for a good neutral color combination, this is it! Gray and brown are both great neutrals and they totally work well together.

BROWN AND STRIPES
Stripes are my most worn pattern and I think they look amazing with a brown coat. This striped sweater is black and cream, so it gives a softer look with the brown. But you could definitely wear black and white or navy and white stripes with chocolate brown as well!

Sage green is one of those colors that I absolutely love and is usually very unexpected. I have a few pieces in this color and I’m surprised at how many colors you can pair with it. I think it looks gorgeous with chocolate brown.

I like to pair medium to chocolate brown with oranges too. i think light orange, burnt orange or even a brighter orange work if the rest of the outfit is darker. what do you think of this color combo?
